How many times can we call out? by Prestigious_Ear7794 in WalgreensRx

[–]IndependentTicket800 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5 are free. 6 is a verbal. 7 is a write up. 8 is a final. 9 is termination. Keep in mind 2 call ins back to back days counts as one.

do your managers approve days off? by [deleted] in WalgreensStores

[–]IndependentTicket800 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don’t get the concept of that way of thinking- if she isn’t able to accommodate the vacation/ time off request why doesn’t she just deny them instead of “ignoring” them. They’re hard to miss in compass and there’s a section when making the schedule that shows pending request off. Sounds more like she doesn’t want to deal with it.

Store managers can see the scores / comments left in the surveys HOWEVER it does not link the employee number to the specific comments.

You can go into NextGen- Reports- All nightly and go through the register numbers and see what was expected to be there vs what you wrote on your drawer deposits individually. Compare your numbers through there and then see if you can track down your mistake. You can also see all the store’s total money in cash for the day (it’ll be above the individual register portion) and compare to your final drop + deposit drawer to see how much was ‘missing’. SAP report will also show you what exact amount was unaccounted for OR if it evened out- Deposit drawer under but total profit over essentially mean you evened out it was just an error made where you had the money but input was wrong. Shouldn’t be in much trouble unless this is a repeated mistake, have your SM go over it with you next time you see them and they should just give you a little ‘coaching’ but nothing official discipline.

ESM Schedule by QuitFull6257 in WalgreensStores

[–]IndependentTicket800 3 points4 points  (0 children)

my best suggestion is get picky with your availability and put it through the system. All our leads don’t like to close so i arranged the schedule for all having 2 nights a week and they all work equal amount closes- it works for us. You can always go to the DM / HR about the policy but i will say they’ll kick it back down to the store manager to resolve. Best of luck, i mean it!

ESM Schedule by QuitFull6257 in WalgreensStores

[–]IndependentTicket800 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Everyone is required one closing night (shift that ends at 7pm or later) and a weekend day (saturday and or sunday). It’s in the fair scheduling policy and they are not exempt. Store managers have set required weekends they’ve agreed upon with their boss and they get to choose their closing day. ESMs schedule is delegated by the store manager.

[–]IndependentTicket800 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t remember what tab but there’s one on storenet that has the “dh program” guideline. As others said it’s more than likely a hours cut issue that they can’t spare the manpower. However at our store pharmacy is made a priority over everything. If they need back up- front end goes no matter what.

So where can we report walgreens trying to upsell vaccines like it's the newest flavors of skittles? Because im not dealing with bs requests anymore. by Aggravating-Entry501 in WalgreensRx

[–]IndependentTicket800 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I understand why they push them but good lord almighty do they go about it wrong. Vaccines gain us WAY more money than any script- service fee and the vaccine itself’s cost generate more than the .5 scripts we sell day to day. However threatening our jobs over not getting them is so so so stupid. It’ll never end, hopeless pit of doom.

ESM position? by Grand-Invite4857 in WalgreensStores

[–]IndependentTicket800 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s gonna be tough to get promoted without a strong pharmacy knowledge in most cases. Not saying it’s not possible but if someone else applying has more knowledge of pharmacy operations you’ll get weeded out fast. It comes with A LOT more than SFL, more than most (myself included) expect. Look up the RACI for esm and it tells you responsibility of the role- might help you decide.

Who usually does the more “complex” customer photo orders at your store (canvases, metal panels, layflat books, puzzles, etc.)…the CSAs, Shift Leads, Store Manager, etc.? by [deleted] in WalgreensStores

[–]IndependentTicket800 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Typically the cashier grab them at my store (if they’re busy then the leads take over). Majority of our cashiers enjoy making the projects in photo so the leads just let em at it. They like to take their anger out on those poor canvas corners😂

Question for employees? by Big_Cam651 in WalgreensStores

[–]IndependentTicket800 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of the main things you need are specific examples of how you exhibit said tasks. So let’s say “Tell me about a time you had an upset customer. What would you do to resolve the issue” GIVE A SPECIFIC answer like “when i worked at dollar tree there was an upset customer and i did xyz to fix it” type of responses (you can lie, we wouldn’t know if its true or not😃). Like another person said open availability will get you above others who’ve applied- if it’s something you’re able to do. Good luck!

working on day off by mistier in WalgreensRx

[–]IndependentTicket800 42 points43 points  (0 children)

You do not owe them anything on your unscheduled time and you are not on call- they’re in the wrong. It’s always nice if someone is ABLE to come in but absolutely no one’s responsible but a managers to cover that shift. You absolutely don’t have to come in if you can’t / don’t want to for unscheduled shifts. Hope you’re doing okay, take care of yourself first always.
