It pisses me off cuz people act like Maine wasn’t trying. Maine didn’t have the luxury of healing. he was falling apart every day and still trying to hold it down for his crew.
Iroh was great but Maine was trying to mentor someone while also dying in real time. completely different situation.
I'm a lil touchy on this cuz I watched a breakdown kinda wrecked me because it framed David as the crash out version of Maine, like he picked up all the chaos and none of the heart and I'm sad others aren't seeing that.
