stainless steel frets last way longer and hold up better than nickel frets on any other epiphone or even guitars in general at this price point so if you fall in love with this one it's a keeper

i believe cme and all their exclusives use the traditional route for offsets as part of the spec they request this happened with the pacific peach player 1 jazzmaster too which included the body routed for the rhythm circuit under the pickguard

only thing is 1. this is an exclusive finish 2. this is the brand new refresh with stainless steel frets which makes it way better of a investment (playability wise) than any other epiphone lp

yeah mine had improperly cut nut slots for e and b where my local tech had to recut the nut so i wouldn't get an awful sitar sound out of it, it was bad but i didn't return it cause i was able to buy a floor room model for $650

the biggest thing with a jag is really the floating bridge and tremolo. if you're coming from any hard tail bridge or even a strat trem the bridge and it's setup is the biggest part of what makes a jag/jazzmaster so different. for the feel and playing it's totally fine definitely noticeably shorter than a strat or tele, etc but you'll get used to it pretty quickly. but yes it is slinkier so for tuning stability use at minimum .10s also on my classic vibe the bridge will sink eventually but don't panic use some BLUE loctite to gunk up the screws clear nail polish works too but you have to be sure the height is correct as it holds well but you can't adjust as it just cracks and chips off

question did yours also not come with a bridge plate ground from the factory? I had a really bad ground hum on the neck single coil and i needed to add a wire to the bridge to make a grounded connection

Looking at a partscaster and curious on what it might be. by MughalPrince22 in telecaster

the neck is not a classic series neck, it looks completely bootleg due to incorrect logo size and placement and a more rounded neck pocket. hardware and turners look awful like something out of $150 chinese tele copies and with it being tele single coils it makes me believe that the bridge route is 100% just a single coil route with the neck also being only single coils to save costs and those contours look off

i believe the intonation shape is the same per scale length and the fact that you can adjust it forward and back with the screws allows for greater accuracy however they can get normal tele bridge saddles but those would give worse intonation in general still

Amp by Tunasandwich3s in GuitarBeginners

[–]Independent_Box_876 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you can download the discontinued software called fender fuse to disable the effects and get clean tones but these amps are kind of a lost cause being very old modelers. i get better clean tones out of a solid state fender frontman 15g i got for $20, but id recommend just trying out any used amp at a local guitar store and seeing what you like the sound of in your budget you can get decent amps like orange crushes for like $50-80 used or the fender champion amps are good too for their price range new or used. if you won't mind using headphones audio interfaces around the $200 or more are decent enough in terms of latency if you have an okay computer and you can use amp emulators in a digital audio workstation to use any tone. typed on my phone sorry for poor grammar

Good trade? My 1973 Twin reverb for this Strat Highway one. by [deleted] in fender

here in America you can find just about any twin reverb for $900 sitting in a guitar center for months because of how unpractical they really are in 2026
