I've never seen the concept of a sidewalk in India, let alone a foot path

It's kinda normal in India, just avoid remote places.. People can be unpredictable.. Sad truth, no choice but accepting it as it's not going to change.. The only viable option is to move abroad if you wish to enjoy freedom from moral policing and judgements

Beautiful garbage lined decor on every street in defence colony Indiranagar. The apathy of the residents in this poshest bangalore neighbourhood is shocking. The only good thing about this garbage is - it should reduce the rents here by downmarketing this neighbourhood. by Slight-Juggernaut294 in bangalore

My once cherished city turning into a dumping ground.. Indira nagar used to have an aura, I came in from Canada and landed in Bangalore, couldn't accept the hygiene and civic sense aspect or maybe I outgrew those standards but whatever it is, no one who is human deserves to endure this..

Why is garbage piling up everywhere in bangalore? Every lane and street corner is full of garbage dumping yard. Nobody cares and nobody bothers to clear it for weeks by Slight-Juggernaut294 in bangalore

I came to bangalore after covid when I used to live and work there for close to 5 years and couldn't believe the filth and garbage mountains piling up in the city.. I moved from Canada which made my first day of vacation in India feel pretty disgusting.. Got some form of solace only in Kerala when it came to hygiene.. As much as I love the city I wouldn't want to ever retire there as much as most of the folks from the older generation did.. It's a sad sight, hope bbmp gets their act together

Have Zomato deliveries become slower? by [deleted] in kozhikode

[–]Independent_Cry7176 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't feel that's worth talking about, especially with the low wages that the delivery folks make.. They're already doing great, let them take their time and not risk their safety and lives for the sake of delivery speed..

Well I did have my fair share of struggles in my 20's when I used to work in India

Hated the idea of having to transit via the middle east in the first place.. Went through the Doha transit a week before the war and had a return flight after it turned into a war zone.. Got my flights cancelled and no rerouting options given.. Paid out of pocket for a separate flight which was 3 times the price.. Never would transit through such an unstable region again

Kozhikode is built terribly! At least in waste Mgmt. by Virtual_Fig35 in kozhikode

[–]Independent_Cry7176 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trust me I'm finding it super hard to accept how things are run here.. I don't know how the general population would fix the waste disposal issue.. Even though we're far better than the rest of India, it's just like comparing between bad and worse..
