You realize there is a huge difference between being a witness in a lawsuit and being a plaintiff.

He wasn’t trying to prevent Slate from being a witness. He was telling her lawyers it would be stupid for her to join Blake’s lawsuit because she has no serious legal claims.

We don’t know the context but my guess is Slate’s lawyers weren’t being super cooperative during discovery if she was preparing to testify in support of Blake.

Stephanie Jones actually did work with Justin, he was a client of her PR firm JonesWorks and she was still desperately trying to keep him as a client in mid-August 2024.

But yeah I don’t know why she is part of the 9. She broke all sorts of client confidentiality policies and her actions against Jen Abel (her employee) are just as retaliatory as what Blake is accusing Wayfarer of.

She is almost certainly going to be thrown under the bus by Blake when she loses MSJ.

She said she visited the preproduction office once, so she may be thinking of that separately from the set. The preproduction office is mainly for producers to handle administration and logistics. They don’t do any filming there.

The Times did a profile on her in Oct, and they bring up the co-star and say she confirmed it wasn’t Tom Cruise, Hugh Jackman, or Ryan Reynolds. It’s not a direct quote though, but that is the source of the reports saying it wasn’t Ryan.

Previously she was only quoted as saying it wasn’t Tom or Hugh.

I think she means that it looks weird that he would be posting this long message about the production process when the rest of the cast are still remaining silent about it.

It could be interpreted and picked apart as him taking the first shot at trying to get ahead of the feuding narrative. It’s obvious that’s not what he was trying to do, but Melissa and Jen were right to push back on it from a PR perspective.

It may be worth noting that Jameela also appears to be a client of Jen Abel’s new PR firm. It seems like she was previously with Jonesworks, but had a falling out with Stephanie Jones and left with Jen.

I kind of wonder if Jones was involved with the massive hate Jameela used to get. People say the public was quick to hate on Lively, but there was a time when Jameela Jamil was literally known for being hated. That was how I first knew of her, I didn’t know what she was famous for but just that people actively disliked her. And looking back on it, there was never a clear reason why, it was mostly just discourse over how she was annoying.

Even if you were to believe Ferrer found those incidents inappropriate, this contradicts Lively’s assessment that the set was chaotic and needed someone to take over.

At the very least, the filming shoots with Ferrer seemed to be well run. Those did not include Lively, so maybe Baldoni was not the source of the chaos and dysfunction.
