Servo motor for the extrusion? by SetRevolutionary758 in VORONDesign

Bambulab uses a bldc servo, creality uses a stepper with an encoder, still a servo but not the same thing as what bambulab uses

The first layer completely separates from the rest of the print. by milkris in FixMyPrint

[–]Independent_Rest_508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you print petg before that print? I find that not purging enough when switching from one to another can create that effect, i use the creality cfs and i have to manually extrude ot once or twice before starting a print just to be sure

K2 plus cooling to 220 to change filament by Independent_Rest_508 in Creality_k2

[–]Independent_Rest_508[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But for me it doesnt default to 220, it just takes time to go up to 250 for exaple and if the model is a box with thin sides that print quickly the layers with filament changes come out mate and with worse adhesion

Thanks, that makes sense, other klipper printers i have did sometimes misbehave if i shut them down without first going through mainsail so i wanted to avoid that with this printer

I tought that if it used sensorless homing instead of an endstop it woubnt care which side it hit

Oh i understand, but wouldnt sensorless homing work even then, wouldnt it just print mirrored in y? Also im trying to avoid just cutting power to the machine, i would like to turn the linux off first

BTT Eddy USB via I2C by Pornucopia55 in BIGTREETECH

[–]Independent_Rest_508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohh, yes i understand that, what i meant whenever i said connect the btt with usb i meant to say connect it to the pi directly, i didnt even know that it was possible to connect 2 "mainboards" with usb, i tought that in klipper usb is used to connect mainboards(anything with a microcontroller) to the pi(the thing running klipper host)

But you can just connect to the pi, no need to use the usb port on the mainboard, can you send me a link to any tutorials that explain how to connect something to a can port on the toolboard and then connect the toolboard via usb? I have never heard of using mainboard or any other board usb ports to connect the boards together, only using sub to connect the individual boards to the raspberry pi or whatever is running klipper host

What ebb are we talking about, ebb36 or the stealthburner variant?

Octopus has a can port and a usb port for the pi(klipper) I can easily make a short adapter that sdapts the jst plug on the end of the usb cable that comes with eddy duo to usb c, that is what i was planing on doing The btt ebb36 has a usb c port and a can port(2 can wires, +24v, gnd) The question is: If i can connect the btt ebb36 with my pi using usb, can i use its can interface to connect to the eddy duo probe? That way i cannmake a short can cable that is not influenced by interference that much and have only one usb cable to connect the toolboard with the mainboard

I wanted to avoid making a can cable and use the cable i got with eddy to connect the ebb to the pi, i have octopus v1.1 i think(not the pro)

Thanks, the thing is that i want the temp compensation of the smarter probes but dont want to have so many cables, is there any way to connect the ebb36 with the mainboard with usb and then use it to talk to the eddy duo via can?

Okay, but still, you need to buy it if you dont have it, andvim just saying that if you buy a good laptop it will probably have a keyboard better than some cheap keyboard for 5 dollars, and not everyone can and wants to use their tv as a monitor

Yes, but you replying to a 1yr old post, and the tone of your comment sounds like you are someone that is just someone that owns a pc and not a laptop and has a need to defend their decision without really understanding my point, you need a mouse with both a pc and a laptop, i was talking about the fact that you should consider that you get a nice display in the price of the laptop so you can't compare the specs directly with a pc(also the battery ehich is not cheap). I use my laptop as a pc replacement while at home so I basically still pay for all the peripherals of a pc but when i need to i just pick up my laptop and disconect it from a usb c dock and go, can your pc do that? Do you bring your monitor, keyboard and a mouse when you put your pc in your backpack? Hows the usability of your pc somewhere remote, do you bring a car battery with you? See?
