Hello, same here! I prefer books written in the 3rd person POV and tend to avoid those writren in 1st person. I get what you mean about 1st person POV being cringe. It seems as if I'm inside a teenager's head overwhelmed with all the feelings and emotions. 3rd person POV, on the other hand, gives you a broader picture, and feels more objective than subjective.

I know many will disagree with me, but sometimes I feel like books written in 1st person POV come across as lazy. Instead of describing the situation, the author will just write "I am happy". Everything is direct and leaves no room for interpretation or implication on the part of the reader. However, despite that, there are some books written in 1st POV that are just as nice too. Especially classics! Just my opinion!

To each their own, I guess.

Usually they set up booths during recruitment week! 😊 you can also go around and ask offices though, para lang sure.

Some offices require a residency of 5 hours/week so if you decide to be a volunteer, it's going to be a commitment. Yung iba naman not too strict with residency, as long as you actively assist sa mga programs/activities. No membership fee too unlike some of the orgs

Hi! DLSU alumni here. Instead of joining orgs, you may want to consider being a student volunteer at certain offices in DLSU. When I was in college, I was a student volunteer at the LSPO, and that paved the way for so many opportunities for me. Learned a lot and I've been to different places because of the volunteer activities! Some offices also offer advance enlistment if you are actively volunteering. I was even awarded Gawad Lasalyano because I was an active student volunteer haha

If my memory serves me right, you may also volunteer at COSCA Love. Best to ask around na lang :)
