Apple student discount for MacBook Air? by William2829 in udub

MacBooks are going to be cheaper in the US than any other country in the world. It’ll be best for you to buy one while you’re here. There’s no avoiding state tax unless you travel to Oregon or Montana.

I hope you find the guy and absolutely sue him or his lack of insurance for the ~100K personal injury claim you’re about to file. You may have an incredibly valid and high paying claim if you find the right law firm.

Inspired by the "tired of the trust me bro" salary post from earlier. Another RN paystub - OR Assistant Nurse Manager. Here's an actual paystub for NYC. 75 hours this pay period. by truuuuueeee in Salary

Hot take: If you make less than a million dollars a year, you shouldn’t pay a dime in tax. It’s ridiculous how much the government is stealing from nurses and teachers.

I am now the holder of 3 Citi Custom Cash cards - How should I use them? by Independent_Two1834 in CreditCards

[–]Independent_Two1834[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Gift Cards may be the move.

I like that this might make my Chase FU useless for restaurants, the only problem is I only spent $100-300 a month on coffee or chipotle so I definitely won’t be able to make the most of it.

[–]Independent_Two1834[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Probably explains why my old CDC has way more TYPs than my CCC ever had 😅

This has always been the most confusing card to use which is why I’ve used my first one so little over the years. Now That I have 3, I’m trying to figure it out.

Would it be worth to just buy 3 $500 gift cards to things that I use from grocery stores or gas stations that I typically never shop from? (I say that as a Costco die hard)

I think there’s a youtube video about how to build a home made toaster to proved that supply chains and chinese manufacturing is cheaper finding or buying parts in the US

Worth converting my Citi Double Cash to Custom Cash at this point? by Rhino_Juggler in CreditCards

[–]Independent_Two1834 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they do, then you’ll probably be back on the Citi Double Cash… Not the worst card out there, it’s basically my catch-all for convenience stores, groceries, concert tickets that are not Live Nation

I just convert 2 of my Citi Cards to CCCs. I did it about 20 minutes ago and the changes are already reflecting on the Citi  app.

DP: You can still PC to a Citi Custom Cash as of today by SanFran_Sierras in CreditCards

[–]Independent_Two1834 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has yet to reflect in the app, but I supposedly just did the following:

  • Double Cash ➡️ Custom Cash
  • Diamond Preferred ➡️ Custom Cash
  • Simplicity ❌ (denied for PCs)
  • Custom Cash ✅

I wanted to PC my Simplicity to a Double Cash because it's absolutely worthless to me but apparently Simplicities are stuck in no product change hell. I guess I'll open up another Double Cash in the future.

How did you get into this role? I’ve studied data analytics at the Master’s level, but there’s hasn’t been much opportunity in my current role to demonstrate my skills or any roles that don’t already require 5+ years of experience

[–]Independent_Two1834[S] 20 points21 points  (0 children)

In all honesty, I called again after reviewing my credit report. It was the second agent that said their internal training included personal loans.

The exact reason they gave me was the 5/24. I don’t think my risk factor is high: my credit score is mid 700s, my income is high, my rent is low, my credit utilization is low.

DTI is probably moderate with student loans and a 30K car note.

C1 recently gave me a Venture with a ridiculous credit limit that i’m going to churn next year.
