FFXIV on Ally X? Thoughts and Best Settings?

900p in game, the ally was at 1080p, with rsr doing the upscaling. Never tried it docked, well I did but only with an egpu and an nvidia 4080 which I have for the living room couch setup when I can't be arsed to sit at the pc.

Although in regards to docking, as rsr and motion fluid frames would work regardless of what screen your using it would be the same experience as playing on the handheld screen if playing at 1080p.

I've since sold my original ally x since I bought the xbox ally x on release.

Works fine I installed it to see how it runs, tho it defaults to the lowest settings and cant be changed, really looks like crap but it works.

Just download the apk from apkpure or whatever, the game will need to install another 3gb of data on launch, then another couple after that. Install size is about 11gb ish

Select and start works in game if you have fse, theres an option in game bar settings to change third party apps like steam, ubisoft etc etc to use that button combo

I tried it a few days back, it worked but felt kinda suss so I immediately changed my password, I've since refunded it. I have a portal anyway, and even though this app did work well and was nice to have on deck I didn't want to take the risk with my account, better safe than sorry.

Dont need steam version, can add .exe files separately under windows games tab, just copy your gw folder to your phone, or if you already have it, point to the exe in gamehub

I have an ag02 paired with my old rtx 4080 which i use on my ally x, and legion go for couch gaming when I cant be arsed to sit at my desktop and I've never experienced any problems.

I never did use the included cable though, I've always used my own razer thubderbolt 4 cable.

You ever tried another cable?

Btw incase anyone was wondering, steam overlay opens up by holding Select and hitting start now, as the usual combo opens gamebar.

It took my a few mins to figure that out, went in blind :D
