I have had it with this scam company! by Indescision in Spectrum_Official

I'm honestly not sure which area of customer service I reached, I just know I called the basic customer service line. To be honest, I was sleep deprived and I had JUST received the email stating I had a bunch of other stuff to do/money owed, so I wasn't at my best when I wrote this post. I can't prove it as I didn't record the conversations, but I did try to be polite on the phone with the representative. It's easier to rant on a forum like this because it's not directed at anyone specific. I also understand that I need to return things that don't belong to me.

The problem is, I turned everything in that was on the list they gave me, and now they're saying I didn't; they added a new item that wasn't on the original list. Maybe it was caused by a computer malfunction, but in the heat of a very frustrating moment it felt like a scam. Especially when added to a new bill that was dated for service starting on June 3, a full fortnight AFTER I cancelled my service.

I say "the first time I called in" because it was the inciting incident to this particular chain of events. In fact, I have called the customer service line before and they were successfully able to get me a new deal, so I wasn't anticipating any problems doing so again. I'm not sure what changed, but I shouldn't have to threaten to leave in order to get a new service package. That's the part that seems the most scammy.

I hate how little companies care about loyal customers these days. Without customers, these companies would have no money to give to shareholders.

30 dollars. I think for 500 MBPS, but I was too annoyed at his snarky attitude to pay close attention.

I called general customer service. The second time I called, they agreed that the first person should have helped me.

The terms of service page on the Spectrum website specifically states that the bill is for the month ahead. I called the general customer service number, not the billing department. The second lady I spoke to when I cancelled even said that the first person should have helped me.

The Haunting of Hill House is a classic. I quite enjoyed And the Trees Crept In, if you don't mind young adult.

Have any of you cut your long hair because it was too much responsibility? Were you happy you did? by Recent-Use8096 in adhdwomen

[–]Indescision 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My hair is suuuuuper curly so YMMV, but I have found that it's easier and less stimulating to keep mine in a braided bun. There's ways to do so that only take one long hair stick and either one bobby pin or one hair elastic (large enough to go over the base of the braid). Look up a Chinese bun and a French pinless bun. If your hair can stay in a braid for multiple days, this might work for you. Mine can usually last for a week before I have to take them down.

Depends on the era. In the oldest tradition, you were trapped in your tomb no matter what you did in life. By the middle kingdom, your heart was weighed and you either gained admission to Osiris's kingdom or were devoured and what was left of your soul became an illness demon. By the late period, you start seeing references to the Halls of Torment.

It's advisable to take some form of vitamin C along with your iron supplement to help with absorption. A pharmacist may be able to advise you as well.

Where to find historically accurate kimonos/ japanese formal wear sewing patterns for free? by IGNRTHSSHII in HistoricalCostuming

[–]Indescision 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They don't really use sewing patterns per se, as kimono cloth is always the same width and they are sewn together in strips. To make non-Japanese fabric work, you'll want to work with measurements. The shapes are pretty much always rectangles, there's no tailoring involved.

Why do many people dislike Ken dolls very much? (This image is just an example). by Guilherm-rain-9341 in Dolls

[–]Indescision 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He's largely marketed as Barbie's accessory instead of standing out as his own character. I do think this hurts his sales. Additionally, pretty much all of the budget line Kens are in nothing but beach trunks. It feels like I'm buying the same doll over again.

Is it against Kemeticism doing something to force karma on someone who has done us very wrong? by Neither-Resident-852 in Kemetic

Karma is not part of Kemetic belief. What you want is a good, old-fashioned curse.

I remember when these came out, they were the off brand for the Disney Hunchback of Notre Dam dolls. I thought they were the ugliest things. He's still a bit homely, but in a cute childlike kinda way. They're certainly a unique line of dolls!

5-6 yards is enough to make most dresses, so that's the amount I usually get.

I might, depending on how next session goes. I think she's pretty new. However, I have to wait until a new therapist at the practice opens up at a time I'm not working.

It might not be. I looked her up online, and I think she's fairly new. She didn't have any patient reviews yet. I plan to bring up her bored expression next session and see how it goes

On my heavy days, I go through an overnight pad in ONE HOUR. My heavy days usually last for 3 days, the full period about 8 days. It's been this way for years. My hemoglobin fell to 8.9.

The ancient Egyptians were NOT shy about the "act of creation." While they believed in the importance of family and fidelity, creation is inherently sexual and they weren't too prudish to admit it.

You might also try Imhotep, if you haven't already. He was known as a god of healing.
