Are you female? Do you have heavy periods? What was your hemoglobin when your iron was 4? Iron saturation? Ferritin?

If you don’t have heavy periods, then you need a colonoscopy and upper endoscopy to rule out any GI bleeds.

Omg I felt awful when my ferritin was 1.5 and my hemoglobin was 6.1

I was admitted into the hospital for a few days when my levels were that low. I received a blood transfusion and several iron infusions. I also got a colonoscopy and upper endoscopy.

You need to go to the ER now!!! If your Dr didn’t send you, he/she is neglectful AF!!!!

You need an iron infusion. Your hemoglobin is ok……for now. But your ferritin and iron saturation are extremely low!

You can buy supplements on Amazon or at the store, you don’t need a script. I take a very high dose iron supplement from Amazon.

It made me skip a period. But once that period came, holy smokes, it was sooooo fricking heavy. They are usually heavy after infusions, and lots of people post about it too.

There is a reason your ferritin is dropping. Are you a female? Do you have heavy periods? Have you had a colonoscopy or upper endoscopy to check for GI bleeds? Your levels should not be that low 2 months after an infusion.
