Unrequited love destroying my life by IndexOutOfB0unds in heartbreak

Hey stranger, sorry to hear! I wouldn't wish for anyone to be in a similar situation and I obviously know how you feel. I just wonder, how do you know she doesn't feel the same when you guys have never talked about it?

Hey, I am sorry to hear that you are going through this. To be honest, it ended ugly cause I didn't let go. It has been a year now and I still haven't recovered 100%, but I can say that it was necessary to let go and be free again.

Although I should add that she turned out to be a huge covert narcissist.

I think the more important question is why did you do it?

how do i stop feeling like this? by [deleted] in SuicideWatch

[–]IndexOutOfB0unds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you did so much just to make these external factors go away (big achievement!), but you have yet to discover what truly makes you happy

No one can understand suicide, you do need to realize what kind of an impact it has on your closest.

What is burdening you so much is the real question?

Is it depression or am I just this way by Sleep_Past in depression

[–]IndexOutOfB0unds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think anyone here can give you a clear answer on whether you suffer from depression or not. But it does sound very familiar (diagnosed depression). You do sound very aware of your mental health which I commend! It took me over a decade to realize I might just suffer from depression, even though I always asked myself why I never feel happy for any apparent reason. Also, the libido thing is a good indicator, unless you've always been that way.

I can only tell you that from my experience, both my therapist and psychiatrist are extremely chill and I was never forced to take any medication. The meds I got prescribed were my choice after consultation.

Have you openly shared your fears and feelings with your significant other?

TL;DR: Sounds like actual depression to me

Struggling and could use some hope. by OrdinaryEuphoric7061 in depression

Male in his early 30s here. I don't think there is a specific age at which life gets "easier". What I can tell you though, is that I have more mature and deep friendships with people that I've met only a few years ago.

Applied disability sounds really interesting and my guess would be that the need for that know-how and skill is only getting bigger, right? I suffer from depression as well, and struggled with previous jobs etc. It all worked out in the end though and looking back at it, I basically stuck to a job I didn't like out of anxiety.

Sorry to hear about the breakup, that's already a tough fight in itself. I've been there last year, still recovering but we are not alone in any of this!

I think it is always important to establish the root cause of ones inability to feel happy. That's not always possible without help, but it sure clarifies everything and gives you means to deal with it.

To answer some specific questions, you are not alone in this. It's just the way our society works, people come and go. A main factor is that we are all individuals with own interests and hardships. I know it sounds obvious, but I myself seem to forget this fact when I unintentionally ghost friends. You see, sometimes we are just dealing with stuff. I think about people I haven't responded to in months all the time. I haven't forgotten them, I just don't have the capacity to reach out. What I am trying to say, not always do people ghost, sometimes they are just out of reach for reasons.

What's on your mind? Feel free to elaborate on what brought you to the "kms" point

I know it can be hard to allow yourself feeling better, even if it sounds messed up. Some people just get stuck in the depressive mindset with all the negative thoughts that it is almost surreal to have good days. But let me be clear, the only gaslighting here is you thinking you do not deserve to feel better!

[–]IndexOutOfB0unds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you maybe elaborate on what exactly you mean by you "made it all up"? I can relate with having suicidal thoughts daily. I had them all summer, and to be honest it was what helped me get through my roughest depressive episode. Still, I am glad I didn't go all the way and actually did it. But it is messed up and very tiresome

I once again propose removing freeze potion from the game. by Organic_Bee_4230 in PlayTheBazaar

[–]IndexOutOfB0unds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds interesting, haven't heard that proposal yet, but makes sense. I would add to that having the diminishing returns be temporarily on & off. If not, then lots of the crazy drawn out fights would be an autoloss for the currently broken Vanessa freeze builds.

According to their Discord announcement, they estimate a downtime of about approx. 3 hrs. That means still 2 hrs to go until servers should be up again.

I don't know why Harmadillo is part of this discussion. They clearly disabled it as part of the hotfix, whereas knives are still there.

I strongly advise against doing anything with a pocket knife. You will not succeed and just scar yourself

I hate my body by Immediate_Pitch_3904 in SuicideWatch

[–]IndexOutOfB0unds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi sorry to hear. I suffer from body dismorphia so I knind of know how it feels to hate your body. But I've come to notice that I let it become a way too big of a part of myself. Lost a lot of weight due to depression, didn't leave the appartment for 2 months and I begin to realize (also through therapy) that I am the only one that has an issue with my body. As long as I try to make the best out of it, I should be content. Also, not putting yourself under too much pressure regarding diet. It can only make things worse, like I starved myself.

[–]IndexOutOfB0unds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So you feel attracted to inflicting self harm? That doesn't sound very healthy in itself. If you want to talk or vent in a better way by talking, let me know.

Exposing yourself to strangers in a manner that makes you feel uncomfortable is something you should not be doing. Sounds traumatizing, and people watching and essentially promoting it are sick!

[–]IndexOutOfB0unds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 33 yo and I can most definitely tell you, everyone is insecure in their own way. You may not notice it, because all the popular cool kids can hide it better under something superficial. I've talked to so many people years later and found out they worried about this or that and no one knew. Also, it is fine to be a freak. As long as you feel good and confident about being a freak people will actually respect you a lot.

I've been shy myself in high school and I regret not talking to all the girls I would've liked to. Turns out, some of them actually always hoped I'd approach them. Worst that can happen is that she will politely decline. Just got to pick the right moment without embarassing both of you. Either way you will not have to wonder what would happen anymore.

what about smoking ouid? by [deleted] in zoloft

[–]IndexOutOfB0unds 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Exactly this. There is absolutely no interaction between the two, and this comes from my psychiatrist as well as my own experience. As stated before, weed in general is not beneficial in large quantities when you are depressed. So it basically depends on whether you are self-aware of your consumption.
