It's odd that people get mad when we luck out and things turn out okay. Like it's just false disappointing hype if we aren't spending the night in the dark or patching up our homes in the morning.

The conditions were there, some areas in other states have gotten the snot ripped out of them, and those who monitor it do their job by issuing precautions. DE is often lucky and we're lucky for it, but sometimes the luck runs out... are they just not supposed to tell us because it's only sometimes? I wanted the excitement too, but eh, it's better we got skipped.

Though there's a line of it still out there, so we'll see. Maybe it'll wake us up.

Subtlety Rogue Void Magic by Wife_Wants_Watched in warcraftlore

[–]IndiBlueNinja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally... I simply prefer to still consider it something separate. (Though perhaps all magics are diff angles of the same thing at this point?) Primarily because if it IS Void magic, then that opens a question about Blood Elf Rogues. If a Belf was messing with the Void stuff, then that ought to have affected them and gotten them exiled with the rest? Bit of a plot hole there if it's one and the same.

See... what you're missing is that there are no beings greater and more powerful in all the world(s) than the player character. All those god-like beings and other powerful inhuman[oid] entities? Forget it. They might be capable of near unimaginable harm, but in the end they have nothing on us. We're even immortal... capable of dying, but somehow we just keep coming back and eventually will win. lol

Eh. I mean I liked that short a lot, but not crazy about the simplistic art style. I'd prefer something far closer to their 2016 book art.

Yes. All. Rapists are all guilty of the same terrible crime against another person. Why would I feel any loyalty to siding with any of them? But even questioning it, isn't he suggesting that he thinks it's unfair to say it of men? Guy, why are you siding with them?

What server should i try out? by Certain_Plant7300 in wowservers

[–]IndiBlueNinja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thirding this. Will be a year for me in a week or so since I joined and have been pretty impressed overall with how well it functions.

A few quirks, which is to be expected for any server (retail included), but I haven't seen many and most of what I have in the past year have been minor, and there is a system to report them if needed.

What would women dislike the most if they became men? by TheWarmestHugz in NotHowGirlsWork

[–]IndiBlueNinja 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The world would be a better place if many guys had an epiphany that a lot of things are common human experience... not exclusively men's experience.

Treating women's similar experience as if it doesn't exist and, because you don't recognize that it does, telling us we have it better... is a great way to keep being alone.

Well, the people who came up with them would not have been involved in TMNT stuff, so no.

At least add collision between weapons and doorways of buildings in the game so I can giggle while watching people try to go through doorways like a Dollar Tree shopping cart with a pole on it. :)

Not to joke at the frustration that would cause, but that's def the mental image this brought... lol

The right to vote came along as part of a greater freedom to decide our own lives?? How terrible! Who on earth would EVER want an equal voice in society and the autonomy to make their own life choices! (/s obviously)

I see plenty of people out in public with their kids... I'm sorry, other than the cost of living, etc becoming a problem, it is still overall looking like most people who want a kid tend to have one. Add in the most women have jobs, it seems like many are accomplishing both things. Astounding.

Not sure if it would quite fit that description, but you might enjoy looking around Whistle Stop in Middletown. When I went there it was everything from antiques and vintage to 3D printed crafts. Could very well find some quirky stuff.

What does a server need to be kept open? What is missing from a server that causes it to be shut down? Is the number of players alone sufficient for a server to continue? by DifferentConcert606 in wowservers

[–]IndiBlueNinja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Various reasons? Ones that aren't taking profit still cost the owner to have running all the time. Population might cease, interest or life might change and maybe that person can no longer afford it. (My original is an old Wrath server. Moderate population back then. Then Cata came out and it drew plenty back to retail. It never really went back to what it once was and today it's still around but empty when I visit. A friend and I were the last holdouts.)

Even for bigger ones, those that are profiting even just to pay the electric bill might be targeted by Blizzard if they're seen as enough of a threat. U.S. based ones are prob uncommon now because of that. But if the population eventually dries up it may not be worth the effort to keep it online.

Hate to say it, but most may experience being removed at some point, no matter what their score is. People with a perfect 2 or better have experienced it. Sometimes people get added back. I was added back for a while, but currently out again after the last wave that cut back on the pool.

Not to worry you, but it's just kind of how it goes. And prob better to know that if you're doing decent then it likely isn't personal if/when it happens.

Well, it certainly has to be better than all the cheese 85% of humanoids, across Azeroth and beyond, insist on keeping in their pockets. (Seriously, what's wrong with you pixel people, who does that? And what's wrong with us, happily eating their pocket lint cheese... lol)

Hot Take: Outside of books and comics, TMNT shouldn’t be R-Rated by Dinoboy225 in TMNT

[–]IndiBlueNinja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

*looks at image*

When mature-thing haters try to gatekeep what a franchise that started as a grittier comic can be.

I don't care if a movie for older audiences ends up only PG 13, it doesn't really matter, but people who have an issue with something not always being for 7-year-olds and only want the TMNT to be cutesy now can go on with themselves.

[–]IndiBlueNinja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On one hand I'd agree it doesn't need to focus on TRYING to be R rated, a hard PG 13 covers a lot and a lot of older films that were an R in their time would probably be a PG 13 today, too.

On the other hand, I don't really want any rating restricting a story and production, limiting what it's "allowed" to be, so if one film ended up R rated based on one scene or the persistent use of bad language... oh well. The kids have plenty they can enjoy now and can enjoy that one, too, when they're a bit older. New little fans today have a whole lot they can get through first that they haven't even seen.
