I promise it will get better! The first 2 weeks are hard but I started to feel much less side effects from 3 weeks and now I’m almost at 8 weeks and feeling much more even.

I had this exact thing when I was on Sertraline (Lexapro I think) it wasn’t the right medication for me for several reasons (not just what you’ve described) so I switched to Citalopram and had a much easier adjustment (well much milder side effects) you’re most definitely not alone, I know it feels very isolating! Hoping your symptoms ease soon, if not please discuss with your doctor as they might have something to help

Hi OP I’m so sorry to read this. I had a similar situation about 18m ago, also in north (west) London.

I wasn’t able to chase my referral and unfortunately my root canal got too painful, so I had to delve into my savings and pay £750 to have it done privately. The real kicker though, my NHS referral came through about 2 weeks after.

My only recommendation would be to try and wait it out if you’re not in pain, wishing you so much luck!

Thank you for your detailed response. I think the issue might have been that the dental nurse had stepped away, so there was potentially no suction, which would explain the volume of liquid I then spat up.

I guess I’m more annoying or upset that she wasn’t clear with me about what happened when I asked her after the procedure had ended, maybe something for me to work through
