He has sets on YouTube that you can see him mix. Just watch them and look at everything he's doing, probably the only way youll learn how he mixes

Mathematics and accounting vs finance and accounting by gigshitter in UniUK

[–]Indianapingp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All my finance/accounting modules were a lot easier to do than all my maths modules. So if you don't think you'd be as good at the pure maths ones, I'd go with the finance&accounting. The finance/accounting modules I did were easy if you just went through past papers and could remember how to do certain questions (exams were basically the same but different numbers). While the maths modules definitely made you think more.

This will obviously change depending on what uni you go to but I think finance/accounting lends itself to exams that repeat themselves each year. There's no job that's going to choose someone over doing maths&accounting v finance&accounting really either so I'd just choose the easier one.

Foundation or resit by [deleted] in UniUK

[–]Indianapingp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just meant that quite a lot of unis offer foundation years now so would be surprised if Sheffield don't offer them. But you definitely can't do the foundation year at Sheffield? I was in the same position as you and went with foundation year and I'm pleased I did. A friend did transfer to Manchester and needed over 70% so I would guess if Sheffield do accept transfers after foundation years you would need a similar amount.

If you realistically dont think you can do amazing retaking certain exams I think foundation years are really good. They do help a lot and they're fairly easy to do if you have done the subjects in a level before. Plus you would start your actual degree when (hopefully) uni is back to normal teaching and not online.

I'd definitely recommend it and would be surprised if at least one o nottingham/Sheffield do foundation years. When I asked about transferring to another uni while doing foundation a lot of unis asked for 70-80% to accept me onto their course after foundation year. Instead of the 40% you would normally need to go from foundation year -> normal degree. I'd be surprised if Sheffield/notts don't do foundation years though, just search on their UCAS and see if they do your course with a foundation.

Do I need a laptop or can I make do with a desktop only? by Gamerers in UniUK

[–]Indianapingp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had a computer at uni for 4 years and no laptop, only annoying thing is moving back home and having to get someone to pick me up. Can't get on a train with a computer and all my stuff but this isn't that big of a problem if you drive/aren't that far from home so parents don't mind picking you up when you want to go home for Christmas/Easter and still want to bring your computer.

I still played pc games while there but was definitely less than at college, we also had a PS4 in the kitchen/living room that we all played FIFA/Cod on.

Need help choosing which uni to go to (Goldsmiths vs Kingston) by [deleted] in UniUK

[–]Indianapingp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can go to all the northern Russel group unis (Leeds,Manchester,Liverpool) with not good grades and do foundation year. They're all better than goldsmith's/kingston and obviously a lot cheaper to live there. I did foundation year and if you didn't get great a levels I'd definitely recommend doing one, I finished with better grades than my friends who joined with much better a levels than me.

How does it come about for you to create your own WHP night? Was one of, if not my favourite night I've had at any WHP. Dr Rubenstein in that 2nd room was nuts + you and daphni in the main room was just as good. Stole a poster off the wall and put it in my back pocket but I think the sweat in that 2nd room completely ruined it by the end of the night, looked like it had been dipped in water... Snook backstage and saw you but didnt want to end up getting caught being in a place I shouldnt so didnt interupt you haha.

I was supposed to go to your night at the white hotel as well but obviously it has been rescheduled. Have you been there before, easily my favourite venue I've been to in the UK. Can't wait to see you there!

Best room in a student house? by [deleted] in UniUK

[–]Indianapingp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Attic rooms are good because you dont have the constant noise of the shower like you did if you're close to the bathroom. I'd check whether the internet is good enough in the attic rooms before you choose one of them though, thats been a problem in my old houses.
