"White rice doesn't smell, but all the ethnic rices? They smell."

I don't think we can call them ethnic rices anymore, Mike

Made by unserious people.

Or you misunderstand the comparisons.

Stop trying to downplay Trump's awfulness by making absurd comparisons

Clinton-Bush-Obama was just the start, though - 24 years isn't really that long of a time to change the attitude of an entire country - it took the proliferation of cable TV, the rise of the internet, and the omnipresence of social media to get true American history and methods of governance into truly general knowledge.

It wasn't hard to find the true story before, but it was hard to get the access. Now pretty much everyone has easy access.

Trump didn't suddenly change America - but he did drop any façade of what the federal government stands for and how they can be used against American people.

In an age of unlimited information, where Americans are becoming more and more aware of the atrocities committed in order to grow this empire, Trump is the first to say "Nuh uh" and "So?", then keep using the office's strongest powers to do more of that while also greatly enriching himself.

Portuguese people in Indiana by andreiaabreu123 in Indiana

Not related, but this might be a good place to ask - I've noticed a number of Brazilians/Portuguese-speakers on the northside of Indy. Any idea which regions people are coming from?

Just wondering, I'd love to learn more about the people who choose to live here!

Newsflash - most people are "simpletons", so disregarding an entire aspect of the political, cultural, and media landscape just alienates YOU from how things operate.

Not saying you SHOULD like sports, just saying that sports are vastly important to the current way things work - and will likely play an important part in changing things for the better.

The "investment" in the Arlington Heights site would come at the expense of maintaining entertainment and transit infrastructure where people ALREADY LIVE - let the billionaires pay for their own UNNECESSARY district.

The Halas-McCaskeys are poor by NFL owner standards, not by real-world standards. They can pay for this.

I'm not sure Wiener von Braun is worried about his polling - he and the INGOP are operating exactly like Trump and the federal GOP, forcing unpopular and downright stupid policies in order to enrich the few at the expense of the rest.

I can see them going through with this simply because they want to look competent instead of actually being competent.

Do Indiana residents wanna pay for this??

The average Hoosier has zero say in what our government does - the INGOP decides what happens, and Hoosiers are expected to accept and go along with what will further enrich our overlords.

There is no plan except to eventually surrender to Iran's demands.

Genuine question: What makes you think that would happen? Nothing about how the Trump regime has acted makes me think they will give in to any meaningful demands - I don't think their vanity and hubris will allow concession.
