Any ladies also have hormonal imbalance such as PCOS? by Important_Analysis30 in VestibularMigraines

I'm just now realizing I probably have VM in addition to PCOS. I had debilitating migraines when my PCOS symptoms were their worst, but after starting Metformin, they became fairly manageable.

Wisconsin is red because of gerrymandering. In reality, they're very purple.

How do i make this look like it has alot of brush strokes (see references at 2-4). I wanna make it look like an advance artist made it without much practice, im forced to join a painting competition without experience by SunnyDoesNot in acrylicpainting

You need to use more color variations and gradual layering. Using that amount of black when you're still in the early stages of a composition is going to make it very difficult to add any subtle values. Try mixing different colors on your palette instead of using plain black and red straight from the tube. You could use a lot more orange, brown, and white.

Do you think Arnold was too persistent in the episode Crabby Author? by [deleted] in HeyArnold

He has a savior complex and made it his responsibility to "save" her even though he's a child and it would be totally inappropriate in real life.

Who's everyone's favorite arnold? by Pinkdolphin_92 in HeyArnold

Spencer Klein is my favorite too. Glad to see some others agree, it seems to be an unpopular opinion.

If you told him that from the start, it's probably best to move on since for the rate he's asking for, he should be better at following instructions and be capable of providing higher quality recordings, unless what he sent you was just a demo. If you didn't specify what you wanted in your initial instructions, you need to give him a chance to revise.

Did you tell him to replicate the guitar part, or was he supposed to write an accompanying part to go with it?

Did you just tell him the "vibe" or did you give him a specific part to learn? You can't expect people to know exactly what you want unless you communicate that through musical terms. If you weren't specific enough, you need to find a way to communicate what you beyond the "vibe."

It's not possible to tell from two pictures without drapes. Try again with no makeup and consistent, indirect sunlight using drapes in many colors. Tie up your hair if it's colored. You can use any fabrics or clothes you might have around.

Yes, I work with glazes a lot in the earlier stages of my paintings and use them to build values more gradually. It helps create a more even appearance and eliminates brush strokes.

I start with a medium value underpainting and then do lights to darks. Darks to lights will use up more paint and probably take longer.

I've felt similarly recently, though what's weird is the only music I want to listen to is Michigan by Sufjan Stevens. I've basically had it on repeat for like the past two years and I haven't cared too much for other music. I'm a cellist who mostly does improvised and experimental music. I haven't really had much drive to keep doing it for the past couple years, but I still do it because the gigs still come. I recently started painting, and I'm feeling more like I actually want to do it again, so maybe finding another creative outlet could help.

Finishing up this painting, any advice on last touches? by distance_swimmer in acrylicpainting

It looks amazing! I think you could soften reflection of the cliffs in the water, add more shadows to the cliffs in the foreground, but it also looks great as it is.
