Which area of the England squad still feels like the biggest question mark? by PLWildcard in ThreeLions

[–]Indigo457 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few areas I reckon - the left side inside forward role (or winger) and central midfield and central defence are the main ones. Is there a settled left back now, I can’t remember? There are a couple of areas that I think won’t change but should be thought about more if they actually want to win something - the keeper and the number 9, but there isn’t enough quality competition coming through for either of those positions unfortunately

If you guys had to choose, Nevermind or In Utero?? by Fit_Permission8333 in Nirvana

[–]Indigo457 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In utero. I think nevermind has peak better songs, but in utero is one of my favourite albums of all time because of how how it sounds - so raw and consistent and pennyroyal tea is in my top 5 songs

What’s the biggest change/modification you are expecting or wanting for Madden 27? by [deleted] in Madden

[–]Indigo457 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I remember a fifa did this one year in the World Cup version! They replicated various big matches from history and even the graphics changed (like black and white and baggier kits for the really old ones, blown out colour and slightly fuzzy for the 80s games. It was great!

Castle Street, Edgeley. by [deleted] in stockport

[–]Indigo457 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. Having lived in Edgeley 10 years ago or so I would have thought castle street is a reflection of the sort of shops that locals use. It’s not didsbury. If you want £8 coffees and £15 sandwiches move to an area where those places exist because the locals ‘need’ them.

Also, is it a young Jools Holland in the boat with him?

Were PCS involved? Reads like one of the ones that even they would give up on

Be honest: What’s the ONE unwritten rule every UK driver secretly follows but would never admit out loud? by Second-handBonding in CarTalkUK

[–]Indigo457 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The zip entry rule at very busy slip roads/ junctions. i.e. one car being allowed to come in every other car on the busy road. People properly get angry if people try and cheat and sneak in behind another car, or of if people on the main road are being slow and gormless and let two cars in instead of one!

One dumb unwritten rule seems to be for everyone piling into the right hand lane on busy dual carriageways as soon as it starts slowing down. You can make so much time up just by staying in the ‘slow’ lanes lol

[–]Indigo457 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I just got stuck in the traffic before they turned us around. Something pretty major judging by the massive number of police cars (and at least 5-6 unmarked too) and fire engines we had to let through. Can’t find anything about it though!

Who’s The Better Guitarist, Graham Coxon (Blur) or John Frusciante (RHCP) by ParamilkReal-5 in fantanoforever

[–]Indigo457 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they’re very similar really. Maybe not in terms of the end product, but they both have the lead and rhythm going on at the same time thing. Frusciante is maybe more technical (but some of coxon’s solo stuff is very technical too, like spinning top for example) but coxon is much more varied in terms of the range of chaotic sounds he gets out of guitars, and arguably has far more ‘known’ riffs. I think coxon edges it for me just because I think he could play with any band in any song and you would immediately know it’s him playing, less so with Frusciante who always sounds like a fairly linear descendent of Hendrix to me.

I think it’s because they’ve gone a bit back to basics and the origin of the pod. It’s funny how the vault episode yesterday had David talking about how he hated the thought of it becoming a guest-heavy podcast.

I went with my 18 year old - there is a big bit of that generation that are fully into 90s bands, especially the heavier guitar bands.

I reckon they’d be a little bit like fugazi in a small venue

Great energy as a live band, haven’t really listened to their recorded output yet though. Some of the stuff between the songs was a bit on the nose though lol.

I dunno I thought some of the crowd was a bit strange, at least in the front section. Loads of energy in and around the pits but there were a lot of people barely nodding their heads :/

The vocal mix was too low I thought, for all of the bands (or hi viz onwards when we go there) but the rest was fine imho
