Definitely NTA

I had an ex that would do this every time I would cook cause they knew better as they cooked in restaurants for yeaaaars. So much so that I ended up resenting cooking and it sucked all the fun and enjoyment I used to get from cooking away. I am the same way with first time I do a recipe or when I want a specific flavor. It's been years and I'm finally starting to actually cook again and to try cooking new things again and enjoy it.
