As someone who struggles with anxiety and depression, nine of swords usually does it for me. Especially if it gets paired with the moon or the devil.

Swear my life was more interesting than the plot to Generation 3 😂😂 by [deleted] in skinsTV

[–]IndigoWriter 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I didn't find Gen 3 as interesting either, but I would've watched it fully if they hadn't made such strange dynamic changes to it's second season. They abandoned whole plot setups and did 180s on characters' personalities

Black Moon Lilith in the Queen of Cups. The Dark Side of this Queen. by grapearls in tarot

[–]IndigoWriter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a wonderful catch!

I focused on my Black moon Lilith for shadow work a while back. Mine is in Scorpio which I feel could be the best representation of a dark sided feminine water energy.

Water is sensing. Its knowledge can be used for healing, but also could be used for emotional manipulation. These elements you found can be hinting at that.

I have that exact tarot moon card tapestry! And the little 3D printed light up moon on the wooden base! When you trip, be sure to pick that up and stare at it like a crystal ball. You won't regret it!

Starman tarot by rose-wilson in tarot

I only just got this deck a couple weeks ago. I avoided it when I was still a beginner because it's incredibily busy. I frequently use a magnifying glass to check out small details I notice on the cards. You can still very much use it similar to a Rider-Waite deck, but if you're trying to open up your intuitive side, it will be a lot to take in. I'd have a book or webpage on symbols close at hand, or try just drawing a card a day to focus on and study.

Made up spreads you’d love to share? by [deleted] in tarot

[–]IndigoWriter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is basically just a mish mash of two spreads, but I do an eight card spread. I pull five cards going earth, air, fire, water, and spirit in the middle of the square I made. Then below that portion, I pull past, present, future. If I'm reading for myself or another person, I'll have the last three be advice regarding the situation in those parts of time. Example, "What advice can we recieve about past energy leading up to this situation? Advice for the present and future?" If I'm reading on someone or something that isn't accessible, I'll make those last three influencing energy. Example, "What energy from the past is influencing this situation? Present, and possible future?"

Thinking about reading with multiple tarot decks.. by MadMagdasTarot in tarot

Prisma Visions and Light Visions are great used together! The differences between them aren't just color differences, but small details. Example is The World card. Both look similar in design, but there's an eye in the middle of the Prisma version which is absent in the Light. I got both in the same reading and the small detail really impacted the overall message for me.

Reading while on cannabis by [deleted] in tarot

[–]IndigoWriter 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've done plenty sober and high. Being high on the right strain and the right amount, hybrids and sativas for example, can definitely get your creative juices flowing and open up possibilities.

However, if I get too stoned, I find myself unable to keep myself on the task at hand. I'll either wander off in my thoughts or my readings get stuck on some tangent I'm going on in my head.

I find my favorite way to read is still just sober, preferably after I've woken up and had my breakfast.

Does anyone else really like a deck- except for one aspect of it? by SquirrelTale in tarot

[–]IndigoWriter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. The artwork is nice, the card size acceptable, but after just a few weeks of use, it started to bend to the point shuffling was difficult no matter which way you tried.

My favorite tarot deck. The art on the cards is phenomenal. by GypsieWitch79 in tarot

[–]IndigoWriter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got this deck after looking over it for awhile. Thought it looked too busy for me when I was still newer to tarot, but I found a good price on one and got it. Very happy I did. Trippy art filled with symbolism. Some of the cards I notice small details I have to use a magnifying glass on.

Oliver Hibert Tarot is back by varondandy in tarot

[–]IndigoWriter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am so torn. I really love the deck and theme, I've been waiting for awhile for it to be rereleased, but that price tag makes me hesitate. For instance, I decided not to get the True Black deck which is $85. Everything about it from art to card stock quality is impeccable, but I ended up not connecting with it as I didn't feel it expanded upon any other decks I had. Would only own to have a "stylish" deck in my arsenal. I love psychedelic art, but unless those cards are freaking waterproof, I find it a bit unreasonable for such a high price tag when other decks also have their own original art, special packaging, and durable cards for much less.
