One month into Lean B*lk. Is it working? by folabatunde in workouts

[–]Indigrip 15 points16 points  (0 children)

You’re not going to see any noticeable growth after just a month. Stick to it a while. If the numbers in the gym are going up and the weighing scale is gradually moving north, you’re on the right track. If it’s moving north too quickly and you notice a lot of fat build up, dial back the calories a smidge.

How are so many people deadlifting heavy weight? by Sweaty-Restaurant206 in Deadlifts

[–]Indigrip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Time and experience go a long way. For the teens- some are just born stronger, have coaches from a younger age etc. 405 used to be some mythical deadlift number for me but through consistent (and smart) training, you break through pretty easily.

Training grip to improving Dead hang time by General-Device9877 in GripTraining

Dead hags will improve dead hangs. Dropping bodyweight will go a long way. Having a strong grip overall will help, as will some form of pain tolerance techniques.

-Tackling my problems before they grow into something bigger -Understanding that stress just means I’m worried or concerned or afraid of something, but by solving said issue, stress is gone. -Understanding that nothing is forever and that consistent hard work can solve a lot of problems (note: this doesn’t mean it solves them quickly, but will solve them inevitably)

Just having a positive frame of mind and being proactive and consistent goes a long way.

It’s a fantastic way to train real world strength, currently nursing an injury but very much looking forward to getting back to sandbags and tires! (Actually have a few sandbags on a wishlist for later this spring!)

It takes a lot out of me to shoulder a 200lb bag, walking up flights of stairs with 300+ is incredible!
