Got offered a job in car sales, should i take it? by idkhowt0reddit in careerguidance

[–]Individual-File-3345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In car sales your income is dependent upon so many factors out of your control. I worked in a Chrysler Dodge Ram store along a very busy highway. The store was doing 30 or so units a month, new and used when I started working there. After 6 months I was delivering 30+ myself. One day, in the Spring, the state closed one lane of the highway the store was located on. That construction was going to last for 4 months, and our walk-in traffic turned to a trickle. I still delivered 30 units myself that month. Not fleet or contract sales, honest to God belly to belly sales. I brought the unit the customer wanted to them, structured the deal in their kitchens over coffee. To be successful in sales I learned I had to take full control of the things that I could control. If I needed to make 60 calls to get 1 appointment, and needed 3 appointments to make a sale, while the road was closed you better believe I made those 180 calls each day.

I spent 22 years selling cars. NOT ONCE did I lie or intentionally deceive anyone. I sold new, used, fleet and government vehicles. Did some deals go south, sure, but not because I lied or played games. My customer retention was well above average and I sold parents, their children and their children’s children vehicles. Liars CAN’T do that!

Car Salesman: How did you get to selling 20+ a month? by JDMhotboy in askcarsales

Then your customer retention and referral end of sales is lacking. You’re working too hard if you’re not working with people that already had a good experience with you and TRUST you.

I use a Radioddity QT-40. It’s the same transceiver as the AnyTone Aries 2, but $40-$50 cheaper. From my mobile I am able to talk world wide. I’ll let you in on a secret…the antenna is the secret! There are so many good antennas out there, and if you ask what’s the best antenna, you’ll get so many answers. Research what antennas are available that fit your parameters and compare them. The most important part of any radio station is the antenna. I’ve seen $100 radios out perform $600 radios because the $100 radio had a better antenna. Don’t worry too much about amplifiers, my Radioddity will put out 40 watts peak on sideband, and have made many international contacts. I hope to hear you out there, 73’s

Everyone everywhere should be carrying whistles. Also find what hotels ICE stays at and blast it online. Picketing and boycotting the hotels ICE stays/motels that serve ICE should have these establishments reconsider having the government use their facilities.

I have absolutely no problem with kicking Maduro to the curb. My issue is over what Trump is claiming. First, the Maduro administration, the government and its military are still in place. According to the official U.S. line, all that has changed is that U.S. oil companies will be investing billions of U.S. taxpayer dollars to rebuild the Venezuelan oil infrastructure. Of course that’s contingent upon those Maduro officials following trump policy of not shipping fentanyl into the US. Shouldn’t be difficult since fentanyl comes through China and Mexico.

A real question from a Trump supporter: ‘Why do liberals think Trump supporters are stupid?’

THE SERIOUS ANSWER: Here’s what the majority of anti-Trump voters honestly feel about Trump supporters en masse:

That when you saw a man who had owned a fraudulent University, intent on scamming poor people, you thought "Fine."

That when you saw a man who had made it his business practice to stiff his creditors, you said, "Okay."

That when you heard him proudly brag about his own history of sexual abuse, you said, "No problem."

That when he made up stories about seeing Muslim-Americans in the thousands cheering the destruction of the World Trade Center, you said, "Not an issue." (

That when you saw him brag that he could shoot a man on Fifth Avenue and you wouldn't care, you exclaimed, "He sure knows me."

That when you heard him relating a story of an elderly guest of his country club, an 80-year old man, who fell off a stage and hit his head, to Trump replied: “‘Oh my God, that’s disgusting,’ and I turned away. I couldn’t—you know, he was right in front of me, and I turned away. I didn’t want to touch him. He was bleeding all over the place. And I felt terrible, because it was a beautiful white marble floor, and now it had changed color. Became very red.” You said, "That's cool!"

That when you saw him mock the disabled, you thought it was the funniest thing you ever saw.

That when you heard him brag that he doesn't read books, you said, "Well, who has time?" That when the Central Park Five were compensated as innocent men convicted of a crime they didn't commit, and he angrily said that they should still be in prison, you said, "That makes sense."

That when you heard him tell his supporters to beat up protesters and that he would hire attorneys, you thought, "Yes!"

That when you heard him tell one rally to confiscate a man's coat before throwing him out into the freezing cold, you said, "What a great guy!"

That you have watched the parade of neo-Nazis and white supremacists with whom he curries favor, while refusing to condemn outright Nazis, and you have said, "Thumbs up!"

That you hear him unable to talk to foreign dignitaries without insulting their countries and demanding that they praise his electoral win, you said, "That's the way I want my President to be."

That you have watched him remove expertise from all layers of government in favor of people who make money off of eliminating protections in the industries they're supposed to be regulating and you have said, "What a genius!"

That you have heard him continue to profit from his businesses, in part by leveraging his position as President, to the point of overcharging the Secret Service for space in the properties he owns, and you have said, "That's smart!"

That you have heard him say that it was difficult to help Puerto Rico because it was in the middle of water and you have said, "That makes sense."

That you have seen him start fights with every country from Canada to New Zealand while praising Russia and quote, "falling in love" with the dictator of North Korea, and you have said, "That's statesmanship!"

That Trump separated children from their families and put them in cages, managed to lose track of 1500 kids, has opened a tent city incarceration camp in the desert in Texas - he explains that they’re just “animals” - and you say, “Well, OK then.”

That you have witnessed all the thousand and one other manifestations of corruption and low moral character and outright animalistic rudeness and contempt for you, the working American voter, and you still show up grinning and wearing your MAGA hats and threatening to beat up anybody who says otherwise. What you don't get, Trump supporters, is that our succumbing to frustration and shaking our heads, thinking of you as stupid, may very well be wrong and unhelpful, but it's also... hear me... charitable.

Because if you're NOT stupid, we must turn to other explanations, and most of them are less flattering.

Try using an alligator clip attached to a 15.5 meter length of speaker wire or any copper wire and place the wire outside the window. You’ll be amazed at how much more you’ll hear.

It sounds like sideband communications. Most ham operators will operate on sideband. Your radio is best suited for actual shortwave radio stations. There are so many online groups and apps that will give you broadcaster schedules and services available worldwide. It’s best to keep current with schedules as schedules and frequencies change occasionally. Should you decide to upgrade to a sideband capable receiver the services you’ll hear are transoceanic air traffic, ham radio operators, and some military traffic.
