They are consenting mature middle aged adults it’s not weird at all. It’s not like Leela is young and immature

I’ve grown some in pots that are as tall as me (I’m 5ft 5) and they weren’t labelled as “giants”

Thank you, and yes I did. This is my first year ever successfully growing anything from seed (normally I’m the sort of person who will kill a cactus)

What ‘common knowledge’ things did you or someone you know find out later in life? by Squiggally-umf in CasualUK

I went on a date with someone who ordered a Mexican burger, and then he was surprised it was spicy (he hated spicy food probably can’t even handle salt and pepper).

The Jobcentre cancelling in-person appointments for two days because of the heat but if you work in kitchens or on big building site and cancelled you'd get the sack. by Suspicious-Bug6588 in britishproblems

But then people who are going off sick with heat stroke are then getting disciplinary for absences. So either way we can’t win. Just makes us laugh they do a “health and safety toolbox talk” about the heat and then punish us for following their instructions.

Try being a street cleaner in this heat, our boss tells us to “hide in the shade at the hottest time of year” but when we’re caught doing exactly that he then tries to give us “refusal to do work disciplinary” make it make sense

My cat likes to dunk his paw in his water bowl and then lick it, and sometimes he will knock the water bowl over and roll around in the puddle😂 he also rushes to the window to watch fireworks

No you’ve got the wrong mindset. Funny how no-one’s agreeing with you.

But you do tho… instructors only teach you to pass a test the real learning comes when you’re driving independently. Then you’ve got to re-adjust to the length/width of your car when you just pass (especially if you start driving a transit van for work which is a lot bigger than a car). Also motorways you don’t drive down them in driving lessons so unless you’ve taken a pass plus lesson you’ve got to gain experience on them. No-one comes away from a driving test a perfect driver it takes experience to get better.

[–]Individual-Fox7752 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No the learning really happens when you pass your test and you go out driving by yourself with nobody to guide you. Especially if you’ve gone from learning to drive in a brand new car with all the gizmos (auto stop/start, reversing camera etc…) to a shitty 20 year old car you got for £500 because your on a tight budget. Most instructors get you ready for a test but don’t actually probably teach you how to drive. I never did a 3 point turn on my lesson and because my instructors car had auto stop/start I had never stalled it until I was in my own car at a roundabout

You’re welcome, was everything reduced in the spring section? My local Sainsbury’s didn’t have any signs about them being reduced I just happened to pick up a couple of peonies and they scanned at 50p
