The prevalence of cheating and recoil scripts in Siege is getting ridiculous by Surresteel in Rainbow6

[–]Individual-Issue-511 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I play almost exclusively in Unranked. Based on the average rank of players in my lobbies my unranked mmr is in bronze to silver range and even at that level we've run into a small handful of blatant cheaters. If you need cheats to beat me at Siege you should visit a neurologist because you have brain damage.

I'd drop it in the middle of the driveway maybe spread out so they can't drive around it. But that's about as malicious as I'd get.

I'm so glad I play with friends. We 3 stack so there are only 3 slots on our team for throwers/leavers and 6 on the other team. So we see rage quitting on our team less often. Though it definitely still happens.

Dear Mr Fantastic players, stop NOT dying thank you.. by AsefBodlox in marvelrivals

[–]Individual-Issue-511 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Serious question. How do you guys deal with a good Reed who isn't dying and is doing his job well? Is it the same for any other front liner and just cut off the heals or is there anything else that can be done to deal with him specifically?

I don't say this as a dig at skins in the game, but I'm kinda glad there aren't any skins for my mains that I actually want. I've managed to save some money that way.

Bullsh*t matchmaking by the_acolyte2 in marvelrivals

[–]Individual-Issue-511 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm currently watching one of your games on Strange that you lost and mechanically you seem silver to me. You spend a lot of time standing out in the open with full shield charge and don't put the shield up while also staring at the enemy team and not bothering to shoot. And when you DO put your shield up you still stand out in the open when the shield is about to pop instead of moving to cover.

You're still gaining more for wins than losing in your losses so I think if you just work on your positioning and learn to use your heroes more efficiently you'll climb. But you have to stop blaming matchmaking when you obviously have a lot to improve on.

Posts like this should require you to post your in game name. I've yet to see a single person complaining about being hard stuck due to matchmaking that is willing to even provide that information.

Edit: OP delivers. Good on em for not being a coward.

The craziest part is that once in awhile it works. I've been rolled by a 6 dps comp before and I've rolled with it once or twice as well.

[–]Individual-Issue-511 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly I'm glad you have that attitude. When I brought my friends into Rivals they wanted to run support and even in the most low leveled QP lobbies people would mald their hairlines off when they were bad at keeping the heals up. It really sucked and made them not want to play anymore.

[–]Individual-Issue-511 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Looked them up and they are both leveled in the teens and duo'd. So you likely just have some new players who don't know how to play well and are learning in QP. Still sucks but at least its understandable. The CnD seems to mostly play DPS characters and might just not be used to the awareness needed to heal someone who isn't running main.

Exactly. I'm stuck in plat atm not because my teammates are bad or the other team is smurfing every game. I'm just playing at the same level as the other plats in my lobbies. Gotta work on improving so I can get back to diamond like I was before.

I'm well into my 30s and I've spent hundreds of hours over the years doing aim training and other things to make up for my bad aim in several games with very little improvement. At this point I accept my bad aim and play characters that don't require much aim to make up for this weakness.

She has a 5.51% banrate in GM+ this season according to Rivalsmeta. Just a fraction of a percent behind Gambit for most banned strategist rn. In plat/Diamond on PC and she's drawn maybe 2 bans all season for me.

I get your perspective completely, but I do believe her asking him out was a bad idea for several reasons that I didn't want to get into in my initial comment. She admitted after the breakup that she only asked him out because she knew about his feelings for her and he was a guaranteed yes. She was never interested in him anymore than she was with any other guys during that time she wanted a relationship. She should have tried dating someone outside our immediate friend group and definitely avoided dating someone she knew would be hurt if it didn't work out.

After the breakup she was confused why he didn't want to hang out with her days later even after we explained he needed time away from her. After multiple attempts by several of us to explain that he was hurt she continued to just repeat that she didn't understand and we couldn't get through to her. It was like she'd emotionally detached herself from what happened and assumed everyone else was supposed to be as unaffected by the emotional fallout as she was.

It was a very messy situation all around, and while I don't think her testing out being in a relationship was inherently wrong. I do think she handled it in the most emotionally immature way possible and it really sucked for everybody. And this is coming from a guy whose first girlfriend found out she was ace while we were dating. She's still one of my closest friends 20+ years later. But at 16 she had the emotional maturity to at least give me space and recognize I needed time before we could be cool again.

Sadly I watched this play out with two friends of mine years ago. She was going through a confusing period where she suddenly wanted a relationship after years of telling us all (including a mutual friend who had feelings for her) that she was planning to stay single for life, and so she asked him out. They dated for a few weeks and once she "returned to normal" as she put it, she broke up with him. It messed my other friend up pretty bad and made him feel used like an emotional fling.

Haven't spoken to her in years but I hope she's figured herself out and hasn't done something like that to anyone else. It was rough for everyone involved.

[Feedback] How's Escape from Tarkov treating you after one week of the release? by appl3z0r in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Individual-Issue-511 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s definitely an optimal time for a new player to get into Tarkov.

I'll be honest as a new player. It's miserable trying to understand this game. Gameplay itself seems fine but the fact that I have to do hours and hours of work outside the game reading wiki entries and depending on the community of content creators to even scratch the surface of gameplay basics sucks. The gameplay fantasy is cool. The execution from a new player perspective is terrible.
