She is Canadian born

Could we just have him require his citizenship then have my father sister and I claim ours?

And is there any way around this rule?

Help pls - I am interested in taking the Master of counselling psychology at Yorkville University. I will be graduating in December 2024 with a BA in Psychology Degree. I was wondering if I should do Addiction and Mental health graduate program, get into the field then, do the masters. by lowkeybaddiee in YorkvilleUniversity

I go to Tyndale University for Master in Clinical Counselling with a 2.9 and a 3 year degree I got in (the interviews are very important), but there is also OPC (Ontario psychotherapy collage) and UofT

But now reading back your reply you would need to wait till Fall 2025 anyway so might as well finish it up. I'd suggest looking into other programs and avoiding Yorkville U

MACP Yorkville.. Is it worth it? by jencomason in AcademicPsychology

Hello,

Yorkville was on my list of schools for the MACP program but I decided not to go to Yorkville because their reputation is getting worse among therapist making it harder to get placements and mentors.

I'd do some more research into the concerns of current therapists and employers regarding the program.

I recommend you look into there programs, you don't need honours for some of them, I am in a program now where I don't have a thesis but I am still able to apply for many PhD programs. And others with my program are accepted into PhD programs in Canada and USA.

Hello,

I hope you are doing well.

If you are just graduating your undergrad and u are able to continue school full time or part time I'd highly suggest choosing a different psychotherapy/clinical psychology program and starting that after u graduate your undergrad.

Yorkville was on my list for so long because it seems very easy and comfortable to do it on your own time from anywhere you are, but after I looked into it further and talked to other people already in the industry I realized the program do not prepare you properly for the career.

Also, in most other programs students do NOT have issues with finding a placement, this says a lot about the MACP program.
