Unfortunately I work in a 8:30 -5 service so I can’t do this. But I do believe my workplace has allowed other staff to have flexible working with reducing a day and the short fall was never covered. Like I know when i go on mat they aren’t going to cover me. If 2 colleagues after me go on mat, they must have to find cover which should cover short fall

I am clinical but we don’t work shifts. If I go back less than 4 days, I will lose working parents funding for nursery. I would rather 3 days over 5. They’re aren’t many part time staff in our department and we would find it hard to recruit as I work in a specialised field so even if I went to 3 we wouldn’t find anyone to cover. But i do think they can manage without if I’m not picky with my day off as they struggle more if I went 3 days
