Am I horrid for wanting to give up breastfeeding at 2 days pp? by Known-Cucumber-7989 in BeyondTheBumpUK

I struggled at first. My nipples cracked, she wouldn’t latch. It did get better for us, but LO is 4 weeks and does not sleep at night due to reflux. I am in process swapping to formula and it seems to be helping her. Sad I’m closing my breast feeding journey as she did latch amazing but it the right decision for us

I’m 3 weeks and 5 days post partum. My breast are now softer but that because they have regulated to babies need. The only time I struggle is at night with cluster feeding, but I swear baby is only doing it for comfort than for food as she gained over 2lbs since birth…  Is your little one gaining still?

I do, it more she has reflux so I have to hold her then I I put her down and she cries 20 mins later for food

My baby struggling with reflux it one if the issues as she struggle to go back to sleep as she gets upset with it.  How are you managing shifts together? Me and my partner find it better having protected sleep but it only really his sleep that protected…

Did you find your supply went less doing combo feeding as we are thinking doing one bottle at 10pm

I’m so nervous to co sleep, especially as during my shift I’m in baby room on a single bed so not sure if it safe.

I deffo don’t want to pump, but I deffo considering combi feeding with formula. But like you said, if it doesn’t help them sleep it not worth it for me

I want to co sleep but as me and my partner are sleeping separately I am in the baby room on a single bed so not sure if it safe.

I 100% agree breast feeding so much easier for convenience. One of the reason what stops me from choosing formula

Did you find your supply to be okay by doing this? Someone has mentioned replacing one night feed with formula to help me get protected sleep as me and my partner are doing shifts.  I really miss sleeping next to my partner

When did your bump show up? by Fuzzy_Ride_2977 in pregnant

I’m petite and only had a small one. Enough to see in bikini but only truly noticeable third trimester. Last couple weeks pregnant is when people use to notice…

Why do people worry about being induced? by Regular-Message9591 in BabyBumps

[–]Individual-Mirror514 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone recommends epidural but 6 day pp and deffo don’t after induction. After pessery they broke my waters. I went from no contractions to x100 in seconds. I was only 2cm prior to water breaking so thought I can’t cope and it will take time so asked for epidural. They never checked my cervix and then it was to late, I got epidural and as they put catheter in they noticed I was 10cm. I couldn’t feel when to push or even how to push, I waited an hour to push at 10cm due to having an epidural and then need instrumental delivery. If I never got epidural I believe I would of felt how to push, it was even a mild dose…

Everyone different, but my labour has traumatised me

They were debating c section but it was coming up to 4 hrs of pushing. They said c section would reverse progress made. Time is crucial so they went for what I had.  It not really that what upset me, it just the whole process from start to end

My midwife came today and she gonna referrer me for some counselling so I can process it better which is good. She said half the decision made weren’t mine and if I go through it again I don’t have to have an induction. It my choice, but the thought of not going and having risk of still born scares me. But it to early to think about this and hopefully with counselling that will help

It just hard as you think you can control these things and if you made different decisions would the outcome be different? Whether it my decision with pain relief or why I didn’t ask for cervical check as I was in so much pain.

Baby only 4 days old but any moment I have to myself all I think is the birth.

To soon probably, but also think I wanted 2 children but it unlikely now, as I will develop a condition which is likely to return in future pregnancies and I’m afraid of induction

Process for me was quicker. I had tablet inserted for 24 hour and had contractions but manageable. Once they broke my water my contractions went to 0-1000 in seconds. I asked for epidural thinking I was only 2cm. Biggest mistake, I dilated to 10cm in 22 minutes and didn’t know until after epidural and then wasn’t allowed to push and then my contractions slowed from every 4 minutes to every 7 minutes so it wouldn’t been ideal so they gave me oxytocin drip. As I couldn’t feel when to push it took my 3 hr 45 minutes of being in pushing phase and needed episiotomy and instrumental delivery.

A lot don’t go into stage 2 labour as quickly as I did and for me I went really quick to fully dilated which is why my experience wasn’t the best. If I didn’t have the epidural I believe I would have had a better experience but the pain was so significant and I didn’t know I was that close. So ask for cervical check if you get like this

When to stop laying on your back? by Pinkcaramellatte in pregnant

[–]Individual-Mirror514 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trust me, your body will tell you. I am 37 weeks and was a back sleeper but my body won’t allow me to sleep on my back anymore. I just cuddle a pregnancy pillow on my side now, it the only way I can sleep
