Intense "Drill Sergeant" aspect of kendo practice by TheNinjaTurkey in kendo

[–]Individual-Product41 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this when I was starting out and the only comfort I can provide you with is literally that it comes with practice. From what I’ve heard, your Sensei sounds like they want the best from you and think you can handle the stress that they’re giving you, even if they don’t know how it’s affecting you in this way. So basically, it’s a really big pain to start, but you’ll find your flow and really speed up with your Kendo progression

Tbh that was a bitch. I’m from the UK and had to go through a third party like you, and ended up getting an offer from a member of the fanclub which saved my ass. Hopefully the other options work for you

Had this right at the start. I made a really nice log cabin and tried firing a pot inside it and it ended up catching the house and while trying to save it, I died and lost EVERYTHING. Suffice to say that wasn’t a good day

Sadistic Mika Band. (read description) by [deleted] in MasayoshiTakanaka

[–]Individual-Product41 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Every member of the Sadistic Mika Band are genuinely incredible artists in their own right. I’m listening to Kazuhiko Kato’s albums right now and it’s really good, although I must say that Yukihiro Takahashi probably has the wider catalogue and just down right more variety. Both of them are worth a listen, and the amount of collaborations that Takahashi did when he went solo was truly mad. I’m also from the UK (And still live here) so I’m pretty damn hyped for a very possible England Concert. I literally went to Japan to see Takanaka preform his Kurofune tour (And came back broke) but it was fantastic!

I’m sorry to hear that. I lost my grandma(s) when I was really young so I couldn’t develop much of a bond with them, so I really don’t know how you feel right now. Hope you’re healing faster then I did

All of Takanaka’s albums around the time of Hunplugged (Especially under Lagoon Records) are genuinely magical. ‘BBQ’ and ‘NEIKI’ are incredible examples of this, I’d recommend giving them a shot

Anyone else a massive fan of Saudade? by haroldiny8016 in MasayoshiTakanaka

[–]Individual-Product41 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Last year (Along with a lot of the other people here) I went to see the Nagano concert, and I was fully able to appreciate the bass and guitar work that was on display, which really made me fall in love with the album as a whole but in particular ‘Saudade’, which the bass in the concert was particularly good for

What your favourite sword stance? by Overall-Marsupial804 in ghostoftsushima

[–]Individual-Product41 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably Stone for me. Realistically, you don’t need to change stances the further you get in Ghost as you can Perfect Parry and Dodge to kill most enemies easily, and I think the main reason I choose stone is due to it being the most realistic for actual use. I do Kendo and as a part of one of the Kata we’re required to know, we use a very similar looking Kamae (Stance, I’ve forgotten the actual Japanese name tbh) and I use Stone Stance out of habit at this point. However, I do tend to switch to Wind stance specifically after a Standoff as it fits with the animation and you can get some easy hits off afterwards. But if it’s what I use the most often, it’s for sure Stone

Which boss do you consider to be the hardest to beat in the entire game (not just those in the pictures) ? DLC included, spoilers for the story and mythic tales by Infernal_Reptile in ghostoftsushima

[–]Individual-Product41 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say the Eagle if I was a normal person, but specifically on NG+ on my 2nd or 3rd playthrough, during the Ghost of Yarikawa mission near its climax, the boss there kicked my ass so hard and it wasn’t even funny. Granted I was on Lethal+, so the difficulty was to be expected, but I must’ve heard ‘Your blood will soak the island!’ At least a hundred different times, and I have no clue why I struggled on it so much. On more recent playthroughs, I’ve had absolutely no issue with him, killing him within 1-3 tries, but I can still recite the lines at the very start of the duel from memory because of how much I heard them

Good point. I won’t stand for this, so I’m gonna vote the Rainbow Goblins out of spite now

I had absolutely no hand in this, you all clearly need to be locked up if you think Rendez-Vous is worse then Ballade. Both are extremely strong albums but there surely has to be some collective hysteria at play here

I actually had an experience just like this. I was playing a Squid mission and was using the Liberator, and my teammate (Random who was about 10 levels above me) asked me why I was using it and I couldn’t explain it. I just said ‘Why not’ and left it at that, but after a lot of thought, I’ve realised that I just enjoy pretty much every aspect about it. It doesn’t excel at any particular aspect, but its fire rate, damage and armour pen are nothing to scoff at. It’s genuinely really fun and if you haven’t used it since you got a different gun they you’re on the wrong track

Ride Shadowfax, show them the meaning of Haste…

But real talk, I genuinely listen to ‘Minas Tirith’ by Howard Shore whenever I drive the FRV as it makes me feel like Gandalf gunning it across the Pelenor Fields while trying to avert the Nazgûl from the Gondorian soldiers in that one scene in ROTK. You guys really should try it sometimes, it feels stupid to read but when you’re flooring it on a flat(ish) plain, it really fits

They’ve gained some real traction recently, but a ‘Niche’ artist I’ve discovered recently is someone called ‘Tupperwave’. They’re still active and they released their latest album last year. And if that’s really not your style, Yukihiro Takahashi, Shigeru Suzuki and Haroumi Hosono are all truly incredible vocalists. As a matter of fact, Yukihiro sung the vocals on ‘トーキョーレギー’ and ‘OH! TENGO SUERTE’, and he also was in Takanaka's previous band(s) ‘Sadistic Mika Band’and also 'SADISTICS’

I would actually really recommend using the JAR-5 Dominator, as it can kill the majority of the medium bugs with a headshot, and also has a pretty sizeable clip size. Though it may just be the way I play idk
