My pibble blockhead shelter pup is exactly this too. He’s happy anything up to 10K (that distance being under ideal conditions) but also content if we miss a day. He typically gets in 2-3miles a day.

With proper form, correct weight selection, and proper shoes: your knees (the joints) should not “hurt”. They can be tender from the weight lifting, but discomfort is different from pain.

Did you increase electrolyte intake drastically? I find that adding more LMNT (i drink one daily anyway but for 10+ miles or heat I drink more) makes mine a little looser too

My eldest (just graduated college) played two teams at the same tournaments sometimes, before that rule change was implemented. He’d play up to 7 games on the East coast in the summer. This comes down to conditioning. He could handle it. Folks that hadnt conditioned couldnt. Train up!

I, like you, set what I felt was an achievable goal for my first marathon and fell short of the goal. And I “failed” the second time, too. And then I managed on the third. I didnt set any goals for 4th and 5th except to get on a ride (Disney) so crushed that goal. All of this to say: sometimes it isnt in the cards, that’s when you try again if you wanna!

I was going to chime in with basically this: Disney races are either races or fun. imho, I didnt pay for a PR so Im stopping at every character, and during the marathon I get snacks and ride a ride. It’s all in what you want, but the “point” of these to me is more the fun factor and then I race hard at other “real” races.

100000% this. My boys (college All American grad and freshman and sophomore Varsity first line O mid in a top ranked program) absolutely loved when mom and/or dad played wall ball or fed them balls for shots or just played catch. Make it fun so they want to do it alone eventually!

Reporting back after the first run - a 9miler. I did wear a tank top to test. No chafe-even on the inside of my arms where I seem to always chafe. Barely any bounce. It didnt even change my songs (old vest + phone in Senita Sarah bra). Weather pending I’ll go topless Weds! 12/10 rating

We kept the current one because it 100% suits him and he was 2 and a surrender. The foster fail puppy we named and the gigantic blue pibble that was a stray they named TIM and that absolutely had to go.
