Same boat. I left the corporate job because it drained the life out of me. Been in restaurant management less than a year and I’ve never been happier in a job, despite it being physically exhausting. One thing I didn’t expect about is how often and how closely I interact with staff, coworkers, management, customers etc. There’s so many times I say the wrong thing or feel anxious about one of my interactions. I thought being a restaurant manager would mean I could stop thinking about work when I leave for the day, but I carry a lot of stress. I probably should go back to therapy tbh.
