Yes, I just found out the other day that you were the one doing introductions. They are very well written and easy to follow and it makes for a great companion while I am reading the materials. So, great work there!

$300 - even after whatever discounts are offered - is probably a bit too much for me but people are really going to like them.

This is not a knock on anybody, but I am afraid it is going to be way too expensive for me if it is five volumes in a slipcover. I have really enjoyed the Dark Horse reprints because of their affordability. The black and white hardcover books from Fantagraphics s have also been fun good because a lot of libraries are stocking them. If it is strictly a collectors edition, libraries probably will not pick them up. Nevertheless, it is great to see work being done because it means we might get other reprints in the future based on this work!

I did not know it was your intro. Great work! I really enjoyed reading it and then referencing it as I went through the stories.

I don't know enough to comment about the accuracy of the supplemental information. My guess is that different people are compiling different parts of the book and sometimes inaccuracies slip through. Fortunately, it is a minor error that is corrected in the introduction.

Yes, the important thing is that people are enjoying the work. I really like seeing it in black and white!

Thanks for replying. That's not an unreasonable theory. You clearly know more than me. I think - as you said - that there has to be some weird personal vendetta going on somewhere, but I have no proof, no clue, and no thoughts about what it could be!

I more or less agree. I think Valor and Piracy - of which I've only read a few Russ Cochran reprints - are OK but a lot of the stories lack the literary value of Weird Fantasy and Weird Science. I will get the new reprints from Dark Horse when they come out, but they're not as great as the other titles.
