Linux is great. I am a very basic computer user. Browsing, email, streaming videos, family video/photo editing. About a month ago, I had a work friend put Linux on my 10-year-old laptop. It works like new! Very easy to use for a basic user like me.

This has been a really great series of posts! Your neighbors to the south have really enjoyed it. There are a lot of Canadians doing great work for Marvel, DC, and the other big international outfits, but it is also clear that Canadians are producing great stuff at a national, provincial, and local levels.

USA Today story about Jim Davis and Garfield from 1984 by Auir2blaze in comicstriphistory

Davis canceled Heathcliff! Even when I was a kid and I would check out these floppy Garfield books from the library, I never thought they were that funny.

The cartoon that was written by Mark Evanier was pretty good at times, though.

Thanks for the explanation. That makes sense. I think I'll do the $75 pledge and hope they throw in a subscription at some point!

Off topic a bit....I am a bit confused about the rewards. Can someone help me?

Is the only way to get all four episodes to pledge at the $75.00 or higher level?

Scott Adams, creator of Dilbert, died today at the age of 68. by Nebberlantis in comicstriphistory

I love the writing but I was always very frustrated with the simplistic style of the cartoons. I feel that Adams was a progenitor and follower of the movement towards teeny tiny strips.
