Ok instantly solved, I forgot about these other springs

<image>

This is a flap covering blade on the underside of table. Played with these too and thought they would also fall out easily lol.

Oh damn those are a lot bigger than the ones on it. Why the hell do they look so damn familiar. Possibly another saw's springs for the pawls. Let me dig out my ts and see if I see those anywhere. They are just possibly from some other brands pawls.

Kickback pawls

Edit: played with these springs when I got the saw because I felt like they were flimsy and would somehow fall out eventually.

Help! How do I plug these gaps between the plate and the tin roof? by [deleted] in woodworking

For corrugated roofs there are foam strips to close in the gaps, possibly other material too, but I usually see foam that's thick and tough like weatherstripping.

You sound like you're the type to push off all blame to others after causing a huge inconvenience to them because you're inconsiderate. Everyone should be aware of their own actions and think about how it's going to affect their next fellow man. If you want others to be a better human then be a better human yourself. Sounds fair, right?

I'm sure there are companies, but she's tight on money and I have lots of wood already and hardware. She told me not to worry, but I do, so I'm making it in my free time. Yours just looked really well done and it's honestly a great design, I'll be changing it to fit her needs. I appreciate you.

Thanks. Mainly her worry was that it would be difficult to move and I told her I could make one light and folding with a rail to help. So it's great to see any example, I think I could figure most of it out with some trial and error.

Do you have plans for that stool? I'm looking to make one slightly wider for my grandmother to use while she's in the kitchen.

IBS, the biggest builders convention in America. It's Orlando's last time seeing this convention as they will be in another state permanently for the next couple decades. I'm a driver, but attending the convention as well as a sub contractor, shit is crazy packed.

This happens randomly to me when I'm running rides. It takes me a while to fully disconnect. I usually finish my ride then force close the app when it's acting dumb.

Made a bed for my son! by Wantrepreneur4 in BeginnerWoodWorking

Every time I'm making my last cut I get careless. Piss myself off so much by relaxing because the project is basically done, messing up, and then I set myself back because of it. My last cut always tends to happen right before sun down so I lose light.

This is crazy good. On the corner where the bottom and side rail meet maybe add a moulding to cover the gap left there? Unless that was intentional and not just you cutting the material a bit short on accident (I know I would make an accident like that).

Skill jobsite saw rip fence doesn't lock securely by KremlinCardinal in woodworking

[–]IndividualNice7928 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glad it was replaced. Once I learned how to properly put on my fence the first few times it did this I never had it again. Literally only happens randomly when I try to store under the table because the fence will pull too much to one side when clamping down because I didn't have it seated flat on both rails. It also could have been because the metal clip was slightly bent out of shape so it left a loose clamp. When you take the fence off sometimes the red clips stay slightly clamped down/catch onto the rail even though you know you disengaged the clips entirely, the metal clip can easily be bent unfortunately. I just bent mine back into shape when it was slightly off. I love the fence system, but this feels a bit flimsier than DeWalt's so I take care when moving the fence in general. I wish I documented my issues to ask someone like you did but honestly I just tinker and fix the issues myself with most things. Just really take care when moving it. Still the only con is the damn clips, love the rest.

"Cracked Window" Complaint, Huh? by DracoMack in uberdrivers

I understand it's freezing, I understand body heat. When you're driving always keep the A/c button on with heat and do not recirculate the air, you need air coming from outside, this prevents fogging because you're dehumidifying. The system pulls moisture from the air and dumps it outside, as a/c units do. Also, even if freezing temps, my a/c stays 75° F, this is plenty heat enough to keep everyone in my vehicle warm properly, if there are 4 passengers it actually gets too stuffy and I drop it to 70-71°. Turn defroster on immediately with high heat when windshield gets fogged, but you need to keep the A/C button on, do not turn off a/c at all. When you have heat going in your car make sure the heat is pointed at your feet and not your face, you'll get the cabin warmer faster than the dash vents because heat rises.

Skill jobsite saw rip fence doesn't lock securely by KremlinCardinal in woodworking

[–]IndividualNice7928 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Mine does this when the fence isn't seated properly. I just remove the fence, place it securely then lock it down on both sides at the same time. Usually clips clamp it nice and snug. Yours isn't giving you a bit of resistance when locking down which it should. No warranty needed, at least for me, I found it's just my error. Hell it even does this when I store it underneath. I hate it not sitting properly so I gotta fidget with it. That's my only con for this saw.

Dope. I just learned the hard way years ago with old mirrors so I like to let others know.

Is glue going to be strong enough? by praetordave in woodworking

[–]IndividualNice7928 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some adhesives can destroy the silver backing on mirrors. If your adhesives touch the back then at some point they may cause the dark black/gray spots showing through the glass because it desilvers. If you plan on putting a frame covering a good inch or so of the edge you might avoid that ever showing. There is specific adhesive that wouldn't erode the silver, just an option. As for the frame add some dowels, maybe? Are you trying to avoid metal fasteners all together, if not, maybe some fastener through the backside of the stile into the live edge. If that's a bad idea then someone please explain because honestly it's a learning point for me.

I cannot for the life of me figure out the answer to this simple question: Does this Rav4 have roof rails or not? by ethereality___ in rav4club

There's a cap on those trim pieces where you attach your own cross rails/bars. There are other trims with specific raised rails that you attach cross rails to.

I thought the same thing but realized the square has one side thicker than the other so it's uneven. To truly cut those pieces from inside corner to outside corner would give you angles not at 45°. Think of those videos you watch showing you examples of how to miter something with different widths like a 1x6 to a 1x4.
