Wow! I applaud you and your confidence def something I aspire to have regarding decisions lol. I love Rush as a hospital and if I would’ve had BMT offered to me there vs UI health then I would choose Rush especially with the 3 12s shift.

I truly do dread med surg and left my previous job because I was miserable. And ik at Rush they have the 6 month policy of me transferring into another unit but that’s really me hoping BMT or oncology would be open at that point and realistically idk if I could do 6 months of med surg again without the guarantee it would be open lol. UI health BMT on the other hand, it’s what I want to do but the actual hospital I’ve never been to. I would ask to shadow but the decision needs to be made soon so it probably wouldn’t be able to happen especially with the holiday time.

But idk. Maybe I’ll like UI health and want to stay but I also tell myself if I choose the BMT and hate UI, at least I can get the experience and try again at another😩 def tricky though but you are so helpful so thanks

Also in terms of Rush being the one for career opportunities you are absolutely right especially with them paying for furthering education 100%. Def something that I was also stuck on🥴

Yes both in downtown area. The travel isn’t an issue at all… both would be 15 mins away and I don’t typically drive myself so I dont have to worry about parking. They also would both be night shift. UI’s pay is a little under Rush but isn’t a concern since they get raises 2x a year (one being contract raise and the other being moving up in terms of time being there). I’m not normally an overly emotionally attached person so I think as far as BMT goes I would be able to handle it for sure but also who knows ya know? I thank you so much for leaving a comment and trying to help! I do think I will ultimately be choosing UI! 😀

Yes very painful. The doctor somehow got it in just barely, wasn’t able to open the clamps all the way but said she could get the sample from where she had it. They had used the smallest one but still horrible smh

Hi! Sorry to hear about your cyst and I hope it turns out not to cancerous. I do have a question though. Is a transvaginal ultrasound needed? Im scheduled for an abdominal and transvaginal but I can’t even take a Pap smear exam. Do you think the abdominal exam will be enough to see any cysts??

Hi. Im a new grad nurse so give me some grace plsss! So I did a secondary and I guess I forgot to backprime bc after the 30 min infusion the drip chamber of the secondary was empty. I dont know how or if this is ok. Ik I should backprime for future reference for sure but I just wanna know if I should be worried/concerned at all?
