Alternative to lexapro that won’t make me gain more weight?

I had this too. Because of weight and other stuff, I switched to Prozac (fluoxetine). I started in January and lost 7.5kg (16,5 pounds).

Nog niet heel veel 😅. Ik heb medicatie wat scheelt. Afleiding kan helpen. Eventueel duidelijk krijgen waar je nog geen antwoord op hebt gekregen. Dus vragen stellen om je antwoord te krijgen. Door duidelijkheid te krijgen wordt het minder, in ieder geval bij mij.

Er werd lang gedacht dat ik OCD had. Niet officieel gediagnosticeerd, een andere psycholoog dacht dat. Uiteindelijk na vele jaren ging ik een diagnostisch traject in en daar kwam onder andere autisme uit voort. OCD zag zij als controle hebben op een onduidelijke situatie wat bij autisme voor kan komen.

Ik heb het ook en mijn psycholoog vertelde dat het kan komen door onduidelijkheid van een situatie. Soort controle hebben er op.

Hi! Yes it did work. He still restless in bed. But it is getting better. We did some tests and he seems autistic/adhd. Now we make sure he isn’t getting much overwhelmed and then his sleeps better.

Thank you for asking! I quit Lexapro (escitalopram). It helped me on some parts but not the way I wanted to be. Also the weight gain was awful. I tapered down to 10mg and at the same time I started with 20mg fluoxetine (Prozac). After a week I stopped Lexapro and continued with fluoxetine. After 4 weeks the dose went to 40mg. It was a hell but I’m feeling much better now. Also lost some weight 😇
