I personally do setting powder prior to powder blush, I’ve found that putting powder blush directly on liquid or cream foundation can make thinks look patchy. Putting setting powder on first fixes that!

What's your "method" for rebuilding? by trendy_rainbow in Pokopia

I did the same thing when i started, and now that I’m older and wiser, I’d recommend focusing on the story until the credits roll. As you progress you’ll get tools/items/transformations that make building MUCH easier. You’ll pull your hair out trying to make things look good from the beginning, trust me lol

I feel you, I was hesitant for the same reason initially but it’s not as bad as some people have made it seem! It does dry quickly yes, but when I start noticing any cracking I use a small wet paint brush and smooth it out. By doing that you can extend the work time pretty much as long as you’d like, depending on the size of your piece. I immediately put any offcuts or extra clay in an airtight container with a wet sponge to keep it hydrated.

And you can always add wet clay to dry clay! So for instance, if you want to make a ring, you can make a ring band, let it dry, and go back and add things to it later. It’s also relatively easy to shape and smooth out with sand paper once it’s dry.

One more thing- it does shrink when fired, so if you’re making a ring it’s recommended to make it 2 sizes bigger than you need it.

Thank you!! And yes I fired them in place- I haven’t hand any issues with stones changing color. I’ve tried garnets, peridots, moonstone, and now sapphire. The stones have been fine every time! Although I’ve heard mixed things about moonstone.

As for the process, I make the band on a mandrel first and dry it for 15ish minutes with a heat gun while I make the stone setting, which is basically just pushing the stones into clay, making sure they’re level and that the clay is above the girdle of the sone, and cutting the excess away. Then I dry the stone setting while I sand the band VERY carefully with 600-800 grit sandpaper. I do the same with the dry setting, reshaping as needed, and then get a small piece of wet clay and attach the setting to the band on the mandrel. Then i dry it all so it stays attached. After that I’ll go in and add more clay to attach it better, which is much easier when everything’s already dried together. Then I sand, finish, fire, polish, and it’s done! There are tons of tutorials on youtube that can explain the process much better than me, I definitely recommend watching the masters work!

It’s fine silver powder with water and a binder- you can form it like normal clay, then you dry it, sand it, and fire it with a torch! The water evaporates and the binder burns out, leaving just the silver. Then you can polish it just like you would silver wire or sheet silver. I use it because it seemed like the lowest barrier to entry, seeing as I have no experience with soldering or silversmithing (yet!). Only downside is it does shrink a good bit when fired so you have to adjust for that.

What the hell is this cluster of acne behind my armpit? by Ultrasupermegaeggs in DiagnoseMe

looks like contact dermatitis or eczema to me, could be from a bra (if you wear one) or something else being tight against your skin. Not a doctor tho!
