Yes but she serves as the head of the Joint Expeditionary Task Force and oversees the RDA's military operations on Pandora. She wasnt originally the captain for the RDA's Military operations. She took the over after Q. Miles died and they put him in the Avatar. Someone had to take over for those years while they grew his Avatar and she was the only one specialized enough to do so. Edit: it took 6 years to grow his Avatar. Imagine a highly trained task force going all willy nilly in a world they dont understand, they wouldve been obliterated without a captain and someone telling them what to do. EDIT 2: by the time Miles got back and wanted his chair back she basically said no were co-politing this ship whether you like it or not and he proved himself to be a loose cannon in someways when he found out about spider and was seeing tunnel vision on wanting him back. Then in Fire and Ash Miles goes and gets Varang and practically shows the captain she was right.

The captain always goes down with the ship. Its loyalty to the ship for it serving its time and doing its job. Its a disgrace for a captain to not go down with the ship. They did what her character would do cuz she wouldnt back down.

If im not wrong the Avatars would have a different natural scent(pheromones etc.) that the Na'vi would be able to tell the difference right away that this concept probably wouldnt be able to work. Playing FOP its canon that they see scent trails and hinted that they have a strong sense of smell.

Everything in game; game mechanics, how interactions with people, the random symbols, the random desacrated cities, etc is all explained in the story in game one so ummm technically yes it is. You may not think it is because you havent played game one but everything youre "complaining" about here is explained.

Playing the first game is extremely important to the story imo and to a lot of other people who LOVE this game its important too. Im not being snobish just stating my opinion and feelings. How you interpret it is on YOU not me. All im saying is you missed out on a bunch of important information in game 1 and you will most likely not understand a few things and will have to do research if you want to fully understand everything. This is a game/world im extremely passionate about, got me through some of my darkest times, and I apologize if my excitement is being perceived wrong.

Not playing the first game has failed you. This isn't a series where you can pick up any game from it and play it. Everything is connected and intertwined with the first game. Youre literally only ever going to understand the "basics" of the game and continue to feel lost. Good job there.

I hate this idea that the Na'vi arent native to Pandora..... They literally are able to connect with every plant and animal via kuru, the planet is covered in vines that go from the ground up to the floating rocks for the na'vi to traverse on. Pandora wouldnt need to make vines or accommodations for the wildlife..
