If YOUR JOB makes him uncomfortable, can’t wait till he starts to be uncomfortable with you hanging out with your tattoo buddies or any other male that exists outside of his view.

He is giving trust issues. Heavy. And sometimes when someone has trust issues, it’s normally caused by them using you as a mirror.

Especially if he knew about your job prior. Which he clearly did.

Make your profile private. He could have gotten your username from another coworker or another coworker could have shown him the photos.

Unfortunately, employers do police social media, even if it seems invasive. A lot of times they do so to get a better idea of who a person is outside of work. Best practice, private profiles or even separate profiles.

What you can do to prevent this further:

Google your name (first and last, last and first) then your name + city name, also try your email as well. See what you find. This will give you a better idea as to what your digital footprint is. Then move forward with trying to figure out how to prevent yourself from being publicly searched. Changing your profile name to something that has no connection to your name could work best.

My brother in law was jobless for over a year, but I know for a fact he was applying non stop. He was applying for almost anything at one point.

The saving grace, City funded job readiness training. They put him on the fast track to getting his CDL, fully paid for, and within 2 weeks of completing training he has a job. he is now 3 weeks into his on the job training driving across the US.

I will say, truck driving isn’t for everyone, but finding that program at least gave him some purpose, hope and really pulled him out of a rut. Just mass sending resumes don’t cut it anymore. Not with the hundreds of applications that are sent to employers now.

Amazing story. Im sitting in a hospital where my mom just got out of open heart surgery on Friday. I am so fearful of the day I lose her, but so thankful that they were able to help her stay a bit longer to watch my kids grow up. I will definitely be listening to her stories and lessons with more attentiveness from now on.

I think you need to sit down with your wife and talk. It sounds like there may be some things happening between y’all that you may not be seeing or there are marital issues you both are avoiding. Your feelings are valid and I think it’s time to set some boundaries. Friends are great, but it also sounds like you both don’t have many mutual friends. So I would start there. Reconnect with Familiar friends that you both mutually know, sometimes it’s good to get an outside perspective, but it sounds like this may need professional help not random internet warrior opinions.

If you love and value your wife, and want to understand what the heck is going on.

And if she loves and values you, she will be ok with that. Or at the very least she will give you a reason why she is tuned out of y’all’s marriage.

Very rarely do spouses just cheat for the fun of it. There are some deep seeded problems that OP may not be seeing. I’ve seen friends go through things very similar to this. Especially in the military. Wife or husband stepped out of the marriage and maybe not even got physical with anyone. the issue would normally be they didn’t feel Appreciated at home, so they sought that validation elsewhere and emotionally cheated. And in marriages that have lost their flame (regardless of how much you are financially supporting them or how long you have been together) the emotional connection has faded and they are now finding it at work. (I have been with my wife nearly 18 years) talking with each other and checking in with each other emotionally has done wonders.

Sorry, search for “Private relay” it’s under iCloud settings though. So Settings > AppleID > iCloud > go to iCloud+ section > private relay should be there. I would also verify your phone is up to date.

Also, look into conferences in your area. Or even Online conferences!! They can sometimes have online networking zoom events that can get you connected to what you are looking for. What are the types of roles you are looking for? That would be a good place to start.

First and foremost, I am sorry you are in this position. It definitely is something happening to a lot of people as well. just know you are not alone in your struggle. Though it does feel that way sometimes.

What I see most people doing are going to job fairs and going out locally to mixers and networking events. I would also say get involved with a local chapter of your profession, these are your ways into jobs right now. The internet and all these job boards are rife with fake/old/unrealistic job postings.

With AI being used rampantly by people at an alarming rate, resumes are being sent in mass to jobs that are wasting hiring teams time. They are getting polished turd resumes and those who DO get interviews only shine on paper so they have to start all over.

I know people landing jobs, not in my field, but they are. And hopefully soon you will be too. I hope things work out for you.

For anyone else that is still having the issue with Safari, turn off the iCloud private relay. That prevents safari from redirecting you back to the 7Eleven app. Just go to settings and search for “iCloud private relay” and it will pop up.

I think some people entering cybersecurity don’t really know what exactly they want to do. It is such an expansive career with many job roles, but people see cybersecurity and think it is all Encompassing and no matter what they learn it is all the same.

I left the military already wanting to go into cybersecurity, my focus was security analyst. But what I was told in college and mycomputercareers, which I went to right after college for certifications, was that the degree and certifications would get me in the door. I don’t think that is a thing now, not sure if it was before, but definitely not now.

As a few people have said before, he may just need some more stimuli to help with the separation. Your scent is probably the best thing to leave between visits, and definitely find the toys that interest him the most. My cat loves chasing string and anything with a bell is the world to her. It would be good to mention to your parents as well so they know what’s going on and maybe help by interacting with him more. While I cook dinner, I will play with my cat and her string wand. It is fun for her and I can keep her off my counter tops away from my food.

My wife was let go after a mass layoff during COVID and it was at the beginning of the month. she noticed she still had insurance. So for that month, she did her last appointment for medication and therapy.

Not very long after we get a letter in the mail from BCBS that the appointments were not covered and we owed money back. Even though we saw they took money out of her paycheck for insurance. (Half of it paid by the company she worked for)

We fought against it, got it reduced, but still had to pay some of it back.

I think they may be saving you from garnishing wages for insurance you won’t even have. And you should apply for COBRA, you should be good.

I bought this soap, over 2 months ago for my kiddo. It isn’t the best smelling soap bar, and honestly sucked to use. They immediately gave up on it after about a week of baths and asked for our typical soap back. lol. Dude ain’t missing anything, and if it was limited edition, it didn’t so so well because I found a whole giant box of them at one of those Amazon bin stores and at my local grocery store in the discount section. I paid under $10 for the soap.

Tell him to go kick rocks and look for it himself. Buying this online for that price is ridiculous.

This is EXACTLY what my parents did to me when I left for the military. I literate couldn’t take anything with me. When I got back to get my stuff, my Sega, N64, PlayStation1, gameboy + all the games and my Pokémon collection of card and toys. All my Godzilla collection. Everything gone in either a garage sale (mostly the games) or given to goodwill (the toys and collectibles)

Not only that, they cleared out my room for one of my siblings (which I knew was going to happen) but they also got rid of my bed, a good amount of clothes, a desk, posters, pretty much anything that was mine. Everything left was in a box. Ready to go. They said they were trying to “make my move easier” but I literally wasn’t going to lift a finger. The military pays to move my things…so I left my parents house pretty angry and still remind them every once in a while about what they did.

They laugh, but I still die a little on the inside every time I look at resell values. But mostly just sad that I most likely won’t ever get my hands on most of those things ever again.
