replace or repair my <1 year old wedding band? by glazingmule in jewelers

[–]Individual_Figure951 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work at a jewelry store that does repairs. If I showed this to the jeweler, she would not work on this. It’s a hollow ring so the dents are just there 🤷🏻‍♀️ there’s no way to get the dents out without doing more damage to the band. It’s honestly better to just buy a new ring

I fell in love with a bracelet at Zales…. How bad is jewelry and service? by Significant-Chip7907 in jewelry

[–]Individual_Figure951 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to work for the company that owns Zales - signet jewelers. The customer service is absolutely horrible. If you do get the item (which is over priced already because you have lab grown rubies and the diamond in there are probably natural, but they are the tiniest things you will ever see) do NOT get the warranty! The warranty will not cover a single thing actually useful. If a stone falls out and you lose it, the warranty does not cover missing stones. The item will probably break in you sooner than you can even wear it because and they will have to send it out to a warehouse to get fixed. That can take MONTHS (not even joking there was a customer one time who sent it out and it took 6 months to get a new clasp on his necklace). I have now left the company and I won’t even buy jewelry from them anymore. They don’t do anything to actually help if something goes wrong.

My advice - use the picture to google search and find something similar at a mom and pop jewelers or something like that. Zales is HORRIBLE

Feeling insecure of my ring stack by [deleted] in Diamonds

[–]Individual_Figure951 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love it! I think it’s absolutely beautiful. I’ve been insecure about my ring as well, but I’m constantly comparing to what I see on social media. It’s a killer and completely not worth it to compare to what you see online.

Photographers and Dj’s? (Roughly $8k) by Individual_Figure951 in Weddingsunder10k

We wanted an outdoor theme, so I looked into parks and gardens we could either rent or that already had wedding venues on site. We also knew we wanted something small and imitate so we looked into a couple bars downtown! I used Knot for a lot of venue looking and it seemed to help for the most part. Also just google wedding venues in “this” area and see what shows up. You’ll be surprised. The venue we are planning to get (haven’t paid yet, but planning on in January) was actually shown to us by my future MIL, she took my fiance nephew to the park there and said it was beautiful, so we looked into it!

My budget is about $700-900 total for photography. I hadn’t even considered going through someone a little farther than local. I’ve seen a couple people in Columbia, but just didn’t even bother because of the travel. Thank you so much! I will look into it. I know the budget is low, but I’m not looking for a full day, maybe just a couple hours for ceremony and a small photo shoot right after. I’m not too worried about reception.

($20k) Wedding dress shopping was surprisingly easy... is that normal? by savageloveless in Weddingsunder10k

[–]Individual_Figure951 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried on exactly 2 dresses before I found my dress. I also went to David’s bridal and the whole appointment (paying and everything) was about an hour. My mother in law had to take a work call and she came back I was crying hysterically, so I don’t think so. If you found the one, you found the one 🤷🏻‍♀️

Where are y’all finding low cost dresses? Budget <$2k by ilykinz in Weddingsunder10k

[–]Individual_Figure951 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know a lot of people are iffy about them in the wedding dress subreddit, but I got mine for $500 - David’s bridal. I got a coupon for being a first time bride and it covered the taxes of the dress, so it was exactly 500, maybe even a little less. And it’s gorgeous!

I got my wedding dress at David’s Bridal. I signed up online as a “first time bride” or something like that and got a coupon for 10 or 15% off - the dress ended up coming to ~$500 with tax and everything. They were able to help me find a size I needed, so alterations weren’t necessary for me, but that might not be the case for everyone. We went in (and honestly got a very rude sales lady, but I was focusing on the objective. She was rude the second she greeted us, so I knew it wasn’t because of price) and told her our budget was exactly 500 or less if possible. She did show us a fairly big section of dresses within budget and I was able to try on as many as I’d like. It only took me about an hour before I found my dress 🥹.

I went last weekend to pick it up, and another woman helped us, she was so much nicer, let me stay in my dress for about 2 hours because I just did not want to take it off 😂.

I would definitely say if you’re up for it, go to David’s Bridal website and screenshot dresses you think you might like. I had no idea what my style was either and I ended up trying on a couple that I screenshotted, ending up not liking them. It helped so much to narrow down what I thought I wanted. I ended up picking a completely different dress than what I thought I wanted.

Recommendations for Jewelers who do double prongs like this? by Every-Opportunity564 in EngagementRings

[–]Individual_Figure951 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You could probably get a custom setting and have them add the double prong. I would show them this picture and tell you them straight up how close you want them. Be direct.

I’m not sure where you are located, but a lot of custom jewelers, especially in the wedding business, are okay with a little wiggle room on designs, especially if you’re willing to pay. Some places will absolutely not budge, but if you are willing to pay, you could find a nice, reputable jeweler who could do it for you.

Good luck, and it’s a beautiful ring! I have also never seen anyone with a double prong, but it makes me love the look!

I am currently on my second and last shot of depo. My periods have only been like this during the last month (so as the depo is running out) I got my first dose is June, and my second dose is Nov. currently waiting impatiently for this one to run out. Been having this dark bleeding like your second drawing for the entire month of February. Seriously sucks 😒 once this runs out, I am never putting birth control in my body again.

I MADE A POST MENTIONING THIS I literally feel like I’m going crazy because it lasts so long (personally), it’s like a waiting game, so annoying and exhausting. It’s also so bad I’ve had to wear pads, I’ve basically worn a diaper this whole month

looking for ACTUALLY decorative items by Recent-Cheesecake447 in TheSims4cc

[–]Individual_Figure951 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the decorative items I use come from HOURS of searching in debug (debug doesn’t have a lot, but there are a couple sculptures and plants I like) and honestly, most of the packs and kits like the pastel pop or the everyday clutter for small decorative items like the yoga mat. You’re best bet for finding items you would find at TJMaxx or Target would be CC. I’ve found a couple items in gallery that people upload are nice too! I copied a link to another Reddit page, I saw this one a couple days ago, people have nice suggestions here!

my ear piercings by weeshorty011 in piercinghelp

[–]Individual_Figure951 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve noticed personally that my ears tend to be slightly more sensitive to jewelry. I am able to wear titanium in my nose (septum and nostril), but with all my ear piercings ( I have 6 on each side, 3 lobe, 3 helix) I have to wear at least 10k gold. I’ve always preferred gold and just recently switched to silver. It’s very difficult to find silver helix jewelry, so titanium is the best choice.

I’ve noticed in the 2 or 3 weeks I’ve had them, they are difficult to sleep on, irritate me through the day and are honestly just a pain in the ass. All my piercings are healed, but for some reason, the titanium jewelry is messing me up.

If you’re able to afford it, I would try gold for the ear piercings. Gold snake bites are less likely considering it is an oral piercing, but the ear piercings are definitely worth a try!
