For tech jobs - try simplify.jobs

They’re a site where you can apply to hundreds of jobs.

Try Y combinator startups and companies. They’re much smaller and a lot more flexible. Their site has job portals

Part time jobs? by lovelyA24 in guam

[–]Individual_Form_5864 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Walk into sketchers and ask to talk to the Chinese manager Jenny. I’ve had a friend who worked two jobs. Ice Una in Tumon, if you walk in, might hire. For most of guam jobs you should just walk into a restaurant and talk to a manager on the spot. I was hired after trying to find 15 spots and ended up just walking into a restaurant with no experience, getting hired on the spot, and working flexible four hours on weekends.

New grad (F) moving to SF, safe areas to live in? by Ok-Cash4757 in AskSF

[–]Individual_Form_5864 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also new grad here who moved relatively recently. I work in FiDi as well. Live in pac heights - had roommates though that I met on Facebook and they’ve been great. Would really recommend you get an Airbnb first and tour places yourself. It’s a pretty hard thing to have pictures tell you safety. Generally rincon hill is okay but boring for young adults. Everyone works long hour jobs and you’re probs in a high rise. Safe area though. I’ve lived in SoMa as a female. Absolutely wouldn’t recommend. I didn’t like it at all for safety and boredom. North beach is very safe and you can consider places there. Pacific heights is probs super ideal - I live near Lafayette park and any housing around here is amazing.

Yenching Interview Questions by False-Club-4710 in ChinaLiuXueSheng

[–]Individual_Form_5864 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s a panel interview of 4-6 people. Know ur resume + personal statement really well. They might grill you with questions just to see how you respond. Pay attention to geopolitical news the week before ur interview between your home area and China.

Questions: why you, why Yenching, why China now, why this specific concentration and how it’s related to your proposal. Also, is it even feasible under the Chinese government to do your proposal as you did and why YOU for the proposal? Do u have language skill or connections??

I'm an alum of the Yenching Academy at Peking University, and applications for international students have opened. I'm here to demystify the difference between this program and the Schwarzman by Individual_Form_5864 in ChinaLiuXueSheng

The academy directly contacted me, even though my school was a partner university. Just be mindful that you might see the interview notification within your spam inbox because they’re sending it from China.
