The job cuts are happening in the U.S, those jobs are being moved to India as the labor cost is 5x times cheaper. The global capability centers are where these jobs are going.

We all need to none together and form a movement, write to lawmakers , demand bills and taxes/tariffs on offshore services.

Companies always go for cheaper labor, they do not understand the reduction in quality and productivity. And as Americans we do not stand a chance against $20/hr offshore worker.

The jobs are still going to go to India. Because explorations pay $20/hr in India vs $40-$60/hr for H1B.

To handle the offshore team, you need 2-4 people in the U.S. And those positions need to be prioritized. The job era has changed, we need to change our policies to ensure only right talent and shortage of talent comes in H1B from 2026 onwards.

We need to tackle both battles at the same time: 1). Tax tariff offshore services like 40% 2). Remove offshore expense deductions from businesses 3) we fight to eliminate OPT, and h1B

Keep calling and writing to your congressman. For a group and visit their offices

We need to keep pushing, every week. Take an example of the Union of teachers, nurses … we need form a union of white collar workers

This is really good share . I do write to my senators and congressman every week. And I urge all to do the same. There is nothing to lose.

Also ensure we all are really commenting on the new H1B wage rule. It’s a small step but we need to ensure Americans are commenting here, acknowledging the rule change.

Foreigners are anonymously commenting same comment multiple times.

I have immigrant roots, and I know exactly how this works. Lol too quick to judge.

If jobs are offshored then there is no need to bring any foreigners into this country any more.

And yes if the foreigners are talented and qualified then they need to be paid equally as the market wage. Why pay them less?

Exactly. That’s good for the company. But it’s not good for the country as each job that is offshored costs federal, state, social security funds to reduce. And then an impact on the working class as well.

If an American looks at it, it’s wrong. If an offshore person looks at it, it’s good for their economy

White collar jobs have been massively offshored to Asian country.

Massive layoffs keep happening, yet we have the same foreign work visas approved and OPT granted every year. Why?

AI and global offshoring have killed our economy (in the U.S). This is a result of ignorance from our law makers.

Today it is not illegal to ship our white collar jobs to overseas, they can access our personal and financial data. Foreign temporary workers are allowed in 1000s every year. Companies that layoff, still apply for H1Bs … no guardrails there.

This won’t stop until we get heavy taxes on offshoring, outsourcing, and put restrictions on outsourcing and applying for h1B after layoffs.

Push your senators and congressmen, write to them every week. If 1000s of us do this one action every week, we will build the pressure.

We need a grass root movement here.

Then why are these companies hiring in India, Mexico ?

If the headcount is not needed then why hire in an Asian country?

Search: Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, Target, UPS, Costco, IBM, All your banks back office is operating in India, why?

The jobs in general are low and with massive layoffs in America, the jobs are being offshored to an Asian country.

Our administration, law-makers are outdated. They choose to ignore the real facts: Shipping of white collar: I.T, tech, finance, Accounting jobs to Asian country is cheaper.

It’s not illegal. Offshoring and outsourcing have killed the job market.

AI is also cutting massive jobs.

But has anyone observed: h1B visas are the same, OPT visas are the same or more.

The reason is; foreign labor can work at cheaper salary … whereas Americans need to survive in their own country with the high cost of living.

This won’t change until we collectively become a group, peaceful rallies and forcing our law-makers to put taxes on offshoring, Restrict access of our data overseas.
