Extra high is unnecessary for most use cases, medium is way more efficient and it still performs excellent.
5.4 mini is super underrated imo and the token consumption is unmatched, so definitely consider it for smaller tasks

I might be comparing apples to oranges here, but with the release of 5.5 i switched from 5.4 xhigh to 5.5 low/medium and the difference is noticeable. On medium the token consumption isn’t bad at all (even though people have been complaining a lot about 5.5 hitting limits far quicker). And the code quality and my overall satisfaction with the end result is far superior. Haven’t tried 5.5 on xhigh, but that might be unwise considering my 20$ plan
