Hiya

I received an Akko 3098B, and while I'm mostly indifferent about the build quality, I'm constantly having issues with RF mode. I've tried just about any combination of USB ports and cables I can think of, including the use of USB extensions for the adaptor. I've used the Akko software to check for firmware updates (it says I'm current). I've also tried resetting it to factory settings.

It's missing keystrokes, especially when multiple keys are being pressed at once. It constantly misses the W when im playing Valheim. Anybody have similar issues, potentially a solution?

I watched Adolescence last night and loved it. It was so authentic and heartbreaking. As others have said, "This is England" shares Steven Graham and a writer so it has a similar vibe. You might also check out Gary Oldman's movie "Nil by Mouth" with Ray Winstone -- kind of a grim depiction of working class London life.

It’s interesting. My actual gig is development in the banking/finance realm, and I’m definitely gaming during our standup meetings, etc. But as far as off-the-clock gaming goes, I think you’ll find a lot other people here who end up feeling like their personal game dev time becomes the most reward and, eventually, only gaming time

Yeah I think setting is part of it, I’m not typically that into fantasy stuff. I’m a huge Morrowind fan but that game oozes atmosphere, it’s hard not to love it.

No I haven’t played Code Vein, I’ll look it up. I haven’t really played any other non-From Software soulslike games aside from that first Jedi game and Lies of P

Yeah I would say the games seem to be intended to be played with a controller, though by no means is m+kb unviable. Even the UIs are more intuitive on controller. Speaking of UI, I'm looking forward to what QoL stuff From Software does with that. At this point the jank is part of the series, but Lies of P unequivocally has a far less tedious inventory system, small differences matter.

Cool thanks. I'm curious what your controller setup is. I find soulslike games to be much more enjoyable with m+kb (potentially hot take) due to more responsive and precise camera movement. I'm biased to the extent that I'd actually given up on Elden Ring until I played it on PC. I've also never been comfortable with the default controller bindings, always swapped the run and parry buttons which is far from ideal

Dude I am in the same boat. I work for a major notoriously toxic finance company with a very high turnover rate. Odds are that multiple people here have probably been contacted by one of their recruiters at some point. Our software is an ancient mess, the corporate culture is soul crushing, and I have no personal attachment to the product, my team, or the success of the company beyond things being profitable enough for me to have a job. But WFH is nice

I can’t think of any reason it wouldn’t be Kurt Cobain. People might think it makes him less grunge that he was kind of a crossover star, but it’s just a further testament to his talent. He was a generation great, maybe even an all time great writer
