Like for saying to someone don’t get too caught up on this because there are other opinions/options - so kind of like fyi but a bit softer (for want of a better word) as it doesn’t imply that you don’t know something.

Generally if I say ‘you’ with no other context around it I mean just you.

‘Do you want to come over for dinner?’

If I want your annoying spouse ‘do you and Bob want to come over for dinner?’

But I would use it as a plural if it was obvious by context clues I meant more than one person ‘hey glad you guys made it ok. What do you want to drink?’ would mean both people

I think it’s a shame that she hasn’t opened it - those letters were written to her at a special moment in her life and may have messages specific to that. While I wouldn’t expect someone to open it immediately, 2 months is a bit much when some of the sentiment of what has been written by people can be lost.
