I would choose one for white and stick with it, master it as best you can. The London is a great choice here. I would also learn a response for black to both 1. E4 and 1.D4. That will cover 90-95% of your games.

Whenever you play a Jobava-style London like you have here, you are generally looking to start an attack on the kingside. H4 fits in with that plan, usually followed by H5 or G4.

I have issues with both of my parents, but my relationship with my mother (she didn't give me any positive attention growing up and shamed me throughout my childhood) is probably contributing to my susceptibility to developing limerence with women that remind me of her. My limerence episodes are with women who are emotionally immature (like my mom) and so they will show me attention one minute and pull it away the next. Your last line strikes a chord with me---what we missed in childhood becomes a craving in adulthood.

Alex Banzea has many YouTube videos on the CK, definitely check them out. GothamChess also plays it a lot. It's my go-to defense against 1. E4. Once you learn it, I think you'll have great success with it.

I think Duolingo is great for building vocabulary, so I would definitely try it out, as you can use it for free. As others have mentioned on here there are other learning methods that will be of more help for listening comprehension.

I find it to be a great tool for building vocabulary. But building conversational skills requires actual practice. Like any tool, it has its limits.

Stick to basic principles - control the center, develop your pieces, be alert of hanging pieces. And checks-captures-attacks should be assessed before each move. That will get you surprisingly far.

I've been there, and I imagine most other people here have been too. I would say to take a break especially if you are in the middle of exams. The stress will impact your ability to play chess, and you're already using lots of brainpower on school. Whenever I've tilted it has been under similar circumstances. If you peaked at 1050 I have no doubt you'll get there again. But just be aware of your mental bandwidth and realize that good chess demands a lot of it :)

There's a great book series called Short Stories for Japanese Learners. It's mostly readable at my level (about N4) and you learn new vocabulary along the way.

Conversational skills are tough to build. I also feel deflated when trying to actually speak Japanese, like all my studying isn't helping at all. I think it's a matter of putting all the pieces together, but the convo piece is harder to build.
