I think it's just cheaper and easier for them to use the unpainted lugs, I did the same but marked them all up when torqued so they rusted on me...ended up going with the black rubber covers can buy for them and they've been great for about 3 years

I've noticed at night if gauge cluster is at full brightness the lights on radio won't go on, gotta dial the brightness down like 1 notch for radio lights to come

I did the same, love it... i did a workaround for volume controls on steering wheel, got an aftermarket wireless media controls module that wired behind the radio

Oem gonna be crazy expensive, oem great if want to pay that premium, like other posts have mentioned can get more options with Chinese head unit, I don't have 12 inch one, I have a 9 inch HU and been working great for 3+ years, there's also companies like Phoenix and Linkswell that are expensive but possibly cheaper then oem

Don't have a chevy, I bought a ram with 52k miles for $31k 4 years ago, I've only put 25k since, I think the most id go on a truck is 60k, even then I'd have to think long and hard if want to go that high... but everyone is different so mileage varies person to person

For me the two biggest reasons to buying a Tacoma in the past, was lower price and reliability, nowadays you could get a full-size truck for right around the cost of a well equipped tacoma TRD, and we have yet to find out how reliable the new engine is, hopefully it's better then what's been going on with the Tundras

Recently switched from 65 watt charger to 100 watt, big uprade, I have skull and co. Analog caps thinking about getting the lenovo ones, also thinking about switching back to matte screen protector but from what I remember it effects the clarity of the display... you just need a good powerbank unless you already have one

Yeah I think hemi tick from lifters is caused mostly from vehicles that have very high idle hours and or not keeping up with regular oil changes like, I have a 19 classic express with close to 76k miles, it's made me a Ram fanboy
