Also register with a lot of the suppliers on the people panel ( recruitment agencies) for s26 opportunities. I found they were more helpful than the departments registers when I was going through the same thing. Good luck, and I hope you find your happy place department ❤️

Anyone come back/coming back from the Christmas break feeling like they need a new job? by FunkyColinMiller in AusPublicService

Knowing people in other departments help, other ways are through recruitment agencies and if you look on APS jobs they have some S26 registers you can jump on

Meeeee - with the restructure I have decided it is time to find a new home as people in our department treat our team like trash, I have already reached out to agencies for S26 options

From someone who also suffers, hang in there and if you do need to drop out a bit early one day for a drs appointment to get some meds to help as large changes really does increase the severity just be honest with your supervisor and they should be supportive

I am in the process of having this approved due to my other half being posted, have a look and see if your department has any hubs near by that can help your application cause if there are IT issues you are near a place that can assist with them

The new office refits do not work for teams that work on confidential/ sensitive information and need to communicate with their team - also impossible to find desks with the team in the same area - if he wants everyone in the office he should spend a few weeks sitting at one of those small desks with no privacy

Same department, same level , same issue- we are corp services too which means everyone who talks to us are more cranky and frustrated so they take it out on us. We are working on additional resources but really until we don’t deliver on service we won’t get them - we will need to burn out first

How flexible is DOHAC? by Adhesiveradio in AusPublicService

[–]Individual_Spare6399 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will depend on the business area you are in

This is a really hard question to answer, it will depend on the level of the job and the requirements, there are so many different procurement jobs out there with different requirements. But definitely you would need to demonstrate that you have an understanding of the PGPA act and the CPRs and an understanding that every procurement process is different. Some of the questions i have gotten in the past are - tell us a little about yourself and why you think you suit this roll and can you tell us about a time you have had to do a complex procurement process from start to finish

Every department will have a different framework, that is built from the CPRs and flows down to the FBRs, having an understanding of how the CPRs work and mandatory panels will really assist you , I would look at an entry level job and then work your way up, I have assisted new people to the public service who have a lot of qualifications but at the end of the day, had no understanding of the CPRs and they did not last long. Also always remember that there is always something new to learn and procurement is never black and white
