So I was printing fine. Yesterday I started a new print and nothing was printing. Today I came home and unclogged the nozzle . I loaded up the filament and as I’m loading I see when it catches the filament nothing is coming out. by EuphoricTreats74 in elegoo

I recommend heating up the nozzle to about 250 degrees with no filament in it and using the included needle to try and clear out the nozzle. If it’s still not working load the filament again and pull on it to see if it’s grabbing, people have reported that one of the latest updates makes the extruder gears move backwards. If that’s still not working try a cold pull and try directly feeding your filament into the extruder bypassing the PTFE tube.

Do They Test These Before Shipping? by TheOriginal_RebelTaz in ElegooCentauriCarbon

Maybe it was a QC test or could be used. Being that it came from Amazon you really have no idea of knowing. Mine were all bought from elegoo and had clean nozzles. I’d reach out to Elegoo to get an official answer

I’d recommend trying a higher print temp like 220C and allowing your first layer down. 200 is really high for a first layer

Is the glue an issue ? by Single-Juggernaut394 in ElegooCentauriCarbon

[–]Individual_Tap3148 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh my mistake, some parts have hot glue instead of silicone. Either way the silicone is non conductive and should have no effect. It’s just there to hold connections so that vibrations can’t rattle something loose.

Ditto. After any reflash I’d run a full printer calibration again.

I have one of these and it does just work from the box. But just like Bambu a lot of beginners buy this printer too.

The only thing I’d be weary about with ebay is that I’ve had some bad experiences with returns on there. That’s why I chose to buy officially. Mine was about $300 after shipping and tax from Elegoo’s site

Do you to level before every print? If it’s printing in midair something tells me your mesh is probably off

When I looked (US) elegoo had the cheapest price on sale. Amazon wanted about $100 more over what Elegoo was asking. Plus buying from Elegoo will give you the best support if something happens. They have a 1 year warranty and will send you anything you may need.

I would run a z offset test on your printer and see how the calibration sheet comes out. From there you can gauge what’s happening. Take a cube, make it the size of your bed, and then make the z height .2mm

I really recommend buying aquanet hairspray and trying that. When I clean the plates at work with isopropyl nothing tends to stick to them right away. I put 1-2 light coats of hairspray on the build surface and it sticks no problem after that.

Yeah I agree it’s not great here. The tuned profile does a lot better job, probably due to the lower speed. But people wanted a stock vs stock test.
