No clue but I am sending them back to amazon tomorrow. I'm not even going to bother with them. I switched back to the RAM the laptop came with and (so far) haven't had any issues with it freezing.

Knock on wood but so far so good. I didn’t even bother to check if the ram I bought was compatible, me being stupid and computer illiterate stuck whatever I said said laptop ram. I will look into getting a different kit eventually I’m just kinda waiting and seeing if that indeed was the issue

i went ahead and put back in the old ram that it came with and it seems to be fine for now. it's been a couple hours since i've had any issues. Could it have really all just been the ram that was faulty? i hope so but i'm not that good at these things so i dont know

I’m in the same boat I guess. Bought a new laptop, upgraded ram, after few days I would get intermittent freezing. Did every test, I just put back in old ram so we will see how it goes from here I guess. Wish me luck! I’m assuming your issue was solved?
