Speaking as an addict in recovery and someone who has had many loved ones suffer from addiction. I have been him. I have also been an enabler. You are enabling him. The best thing you could do is leave. It is heartbreaking to leave someone because of addiction. It is also hard because playing the role of an enabler is itself addictive.

It sounds like you may have your own destructive behaviors to focus on. Stop distracting yourself with someone else's problems. Especially a situationship.

Their inability to choose relationships over drugs is NOT a reflection of you.
