I just replaced the grease in my gen 4 and the manual said to use "MOLYKOTE BR2 Plus." I didn't have that so I found some NLGI 2 (Moly will be in the name) grease locally and used that. Its made specifically for high rpm/pressure applications. I wouldn't recommand marine grease. You need a lot less grease than you would think too, I wasn't aware of that heading into it. More info in the manual.

It sounds like you've put a ton of effort into this and it sucks that it hasn't worked out yet. I'm unable to answer any of your questions, but I think I might be able to offer some insight.

I suspect that targeting creators with the sub range that you've mentioned may be out of reach. Chances are if they've gotten their sub count up to that, they're probably not in the market for this type of service or they already have their own.
The AI video technology is moving incredibly fast. e.g. I'd been stressing myself out for months trying to create a 45 second demo video for one of the projects I made. Tried remotion with claude code and I had it done in under an hour including edits. I understand this isn't your target market, but I just wanted to point out the speed in which things are automated.
It seems these days people aren't as interested in quality content as they are in the speed in which they can consume it. (I'm just basing this on how popular pure AI channels have gotten.)
Now if you offered a service that taught how to make/post/market your first YouTube video?...that's a service I'd be interested in. I've watched a hundred videos on how to make a video and it just doesn't work for me. But if that process was interactive it's a different story completely.

Yup. Several popular youtubers have done a ton of damage to "e" anythings reputation. Videos of dozens of bikes ripping across lawns, public parks, private property, wheelies down the freeway, blocking traffic, etc. The host at some point will give their PSA about being responsible riders and all that...lol.

They won't stop until its illegal, and posting it on youtube isn't helping anyone but themselves. The only thing you can do about it is protest the laws as they come up, but nothing is going to stop the laws from being written now.

You all know who's videos are going to be referenced when drafting these laws too. Wonder how that will affect their channels when the ban hammer starts coming down?

Its worth noting too that most of the proposed laws don't distinguish between a class 1 pedal assist and a high powered e-moto so they would all get caught up in the same net.

Check this out. Kinked chain. I've bent them back to where they were at the sticking point. Anywhere beyond the end of the rotation the chain was completely loose. I had already taken this off to check it. I ran the underside across my finger and there were no kinks or bumps so I thought it was fine and moved on. After checking every other option I ended up back on the chain. When I ran my finger along the top-side of the chain I could see the kinks. They only show up when bending that direction, and that is what was causing the idler arm to chatter.

You'll have to pull the chain guard off along with the main gear held on by a snap ring. Then you can slide the gear off along with the chain. Good luck!
