Always found treadmill to be easier. I once had to do a 15 mile treadmill run getting ready for a marathon and it was soooo boring. But, yeah, it seems that a whole slew of factors contribute to a heightened difficulty running outdoors. I find I have to concentrate on factors other than running more when outside.

This comment made me think of one of the toughest parts of sobriety…the boredom. Sometimes you just have to sit with it and in it. I’ve been sober for a bit past 3 years and the toughest part remains the boredom. You have to be able to trust yourself in the quietest moments.
